Tight and responsive bass
I ordered this a few weeks after I received my 3 series monitors. I found the 3 series excellent and didn't want to disrupt the sound of them but I did find the low end while good wasn't what I wanted in my system. Clean. Deep and Exquisite bass
I was hesitant to pull the trigger. However once I heard it /(felt it and compared to the Rock its, Yamaha's and Mackie's....This was on another level. Impressive showing!!!!

The LSR310S subwoofer features a custom 10" down-firing high excursion low-frequency driver, a testament to JBL's legendary engineering prowess. This advanced subwoofer also offers professional balanced inputs and outputs with balanced XLR and 1/4" inputs and XLR outputs. This allows you to easily integrate the LSR310S into any studio monitor system to extend its low-frequency performance, or use it as the ".1" LFE Channel in a surround sound system.
With a selectable input sensitivity switch (-10dBV/+4 dBu), the LSR310S ensures compatibility with a wide range of signal sources. This feature allows you to connect the subwoofer to high-output professional equipment without any risk of input overload.
The LSR310S also offers three crossover settings, including an 80 Hz setting recommended for use with the LSR305, LSR308, or any studio monitors. The External setting allows for the use of an outboard crossover. The volume control is simple and effective, with detents for easy balancing in your studio monitor system.
