Overcome the challenges of live audio recording with the JoeCo BlackBox BBR1D Recorder, a revolutionary multi-channel device engineered specifically for high-quality audio acquisition and live performance capture. This state-of-the-art recorder offers a robust, computer-free solution, eliminating the complexities associated with computer-based systems in live environments.
The BlackBox BBR1D Recorder is capable of recording or replaying up to 24 channels of 24bit/96kHz audio, making it an indispensable tool for audio engineers. Available in both analogue and digital versions, it seamlessly integrates with any professional live mixing console, providing versatility and convenience. For larger track counts, multiple units can be interconnected, ensuring no sound goes unrecorded.
This advanced recorder stores audio as mono broadcast WAV files on an external USB 2.0 drive or USB 2.0 Flash drive. With the integration of JoeCo's iXML plugin, it also supports recording of PolyWAV files. The use of universally accepted file and disk formats on external storage solutions offers significant advantages in field or tour applications, and eliminates the time typically needed to load recordings into a workstation for subsequent mixing and re-purposing.
The BlackBox BBR1D Recorder is designed for simplicity and ease of use. With just the input and output connections, power, and a USB drive, you're ready to hit the RECORD button. A vibrant full-color LCD screen and striking LED displays provide all the necessary information at a glance.
Remote control and monitoring are made possible via JoeCoRemote for iPad. Recordings can be named using either JoeCoRemote or a standard computer keyboard. The unit also boasts a range of fail-safe features, including the ability to recover files in case of a power failure, ensuring your recordings are always secure.
The BlackBox BBR1D Recorder is versatile, finding applications in Live Performance, Broadcast, Film & TV Sound, and Post Production. An additional software add-on transforms the recorder into a BlackBox Player, enabling synchronous or instant playback of audio material for various applications.
The BlackBox Recorder with Digital AES/EBU I/O facilitates audio capture via a digital mixing console with AES/EBU inputs and outputs. It features three 25-way female D-type connectors, each carrying 8 channels of inputs and outputs, allowing direct connection into the digital mixer. This eliminates the need for additional A-D conversion, providing 12 stereo channels of AES/EBU inputs and 12 stereo channels of AES/EBU outputs. Analogue inputs remain available and are switchable. The AES/EBU interfaces operate at up to 96kHz and conform to the AES standard (AES-3:2003). For larger multitrack recordings, chaining multiple BBR1D units together is still possible.
In summary, the JoeCo BlackBox BBR1D Recorder is a comprehensive, high-quality solution for all your live multi-channel audio capture needs.
