Enhance your audio and video recording experience with the BlackBox BBR64 64-Channel Recorder, a high-tech, versatile, and reliable solution for capturing live performances and audio acquisitions. This advanced recorder, specifically designed to overcome the challenges of computer-based systems in live environments, offers a computer-free, superior quality alternative for multi-channel audio capture.
The BlackBox BBR64 Recorder, a product of JoeCo, is capable of recording or replaying up to 64 channels of 24-bit/96kHz audio, a testament to its superior audio quality. Available in both analogue and digital variants, it provides a range of professional interfaces compatible with any live mixing console. For larger track recordings, multiple units can be seamlessly linked.
Audio is recorded as mono broadcast WAV files to an external USB 2.0 drive or USB 2.0 Flash drive. With the integration of JoeCo's iXML plugin, PolyWAV files can also be recorded. This use of universally accepted file and disk formats on external storage solutions offers numerous benefits when used in the field or on tour, including eliminating the time typically needed to load recordings into a workstation for subsequent mixing and re-purposing.
The BlackBox BBR64 Recorder is user-friendly, requiring only input and output connections, power, and a USB drive to start recording. A full-color LCD screen and striking LED displays provide all the necessary information to monitor the recording process. The recorder can be remotely controlled and monitored via JoeCoRemote for iPad, and recordings can be named using either JoeCoRemote or a standard computer keyboard.
This durable recorder is equipped with a range of fail-safe features to ensure the security of your recordings, including the ability to recover files should power fail during a recording. It finds wide-ranging applications in live performance, broadcast, film & TV sound, and post-production.
The BlackBox BBR64 Recorder also features both coaxial and optical MADI connections, making it compatible with any MADI equipped console or other equipment. It can record a further 8 channels of analogue (balanced line in) for capturing audience reactions or general ambiance. The MADI input is echoed directly to the output to ease system integration, and the recorder can lock to or generate word clock, as well as locking to the received MADI data stream.
In addition to the PFL bus providing both high-resolution metering and headphone monitoring, an additional "mix" feature has been added to the headphone output. This feature-rich, high-tech recorder is a testament to JoeCo's award-winning, tried, and tested BlackBox Recorder design, making it an ideal choice for professionals seeking a high-quality, reliable, and versatile recording solution.
