The JG 9 is equipped with nine AC outlets, including one unswitched outlet conveniently located on the front panel. The remaining eight outlets are strategically placed on the back panel, rotated 90 degrees to seamlessly accommodate "wall wart" power supplies. Each outlet is a NEMA 5-15R, rated for 15 amps, ensuring reliable power distribution for your equipment.

This power distribution center is part of the JG Series, a family of high-quality, economical power and light modules that serve as indispensable accessories for any rack-mounted system. The switched outlets on the back of the unit provide power, while the internal components offer a basic level of protection to clean up potentially harmful AC voltage.

The JG 9 features basic AC line conditioning and spike protection, including a fast-acting metal oxide varistor (MOV) installed to clamp voltage spikes between the incoming line and neutral leads. Additionally, a capacitor is included to reduce the level of AC line interference that may be transmitted between the line and neutral leads.

The JG 9 is designed with a fifteen amp circuit breaker and a twelve amp maximum current rating, providing an added layer of safety. The power cord, rated for fifteen amps, features a NEMA 5-15P plug and extends to a length of six feet for added convenience.

In terms of power protection, the JG 9 utilizes a fast-acting metal oxide varistor to guard against high energy surges between the line and neutral power leads. This protection is enhanced by filtration capacitance, which not only boosts surge protection but also eliminates line noise at a primary level.
