This is [sample frequency divided by twice the bandwidth]. So for a 20kHz bandwidth sampled at 96kHz, oversampling = 2.4x. However the term oversampling is sometimes confused with [clock frequency divided by sample rate]. In the DB-1 that would be 256x at 96kHz
Typically 92dB A-weighted (referenced to 0 dBFS = +18dBu). So for a +4dBu signal, the SNR is 78dB

typically 0.02% at 0dBu (20Hz - 20kHz) at 48kHz sample rate
typically 0.02% at -1dBFS (20Hz - 20kHz) at all sample rates

It's time to elevate your audio recording experience with the Joemeek TwinQ2 Dual Studio Channel Strip with Digital Outs. This advanced audio equipment is more than just a dual studio channel; it's a comprehensive solution for all your audio recording needs.
The TwinQ2 has undergone several enhancements to improve its performance. The microphone input transformer is now permanently assigned to the "Mic" input, and the "IRON" switch can optionally route the "Line" input through the transformer, adding a unique coloration to Line sources. The input "GAIN" control operates over a range of 18dB to 60dB, offering improved resolution in the crucial 25dB-45dB range. This allows for microphone inputs up to +4dBu to be accommodated without distortion, or up to +24dBu when using the "PAD" switch.
The "LINE" input provides unity gain (0dB) at the top of the dial, with a gain range of -19dB to +22dB. The "Instrument" input now offers a gain range of 0dB to +40dB. The "PEAK" LEDs light up at +16dBu, indicating 2dB below Full Scale Digital.
The TwinQ2 is equipped with high-quality Burr-Brown IC's for the preamp, a highly musical EQ section, and an optical compressor for the signature "Meek" sound. The innovative "Iron" switch changes the IC front end to a transformer, altering the circuit's topology. The device also features built-in 24bit, 96k A/D converters.
Housed in a robust 2u chassis with a beautifully sculpted aluminum faceplate, the TwinQ2 offers sonic quality that rivals mic pre's priced significantly higher. It's a new standard for dual channels, featuring an ultra-clean microphone preamplifier using a top-quality cinema microphone transformer.
The TwinQ2 also includes a full-featured optical compressor with a link for stereo applications, large and accurate VU metering for quick monitoring of level and gain reduction, and 24 Bit 96K Analog - Digital Converters with AES/EBU, S/PDIF, Optical and word clock. It offers both balanced and unbalanced I/O for proper interface with any system and a front panel instrument input for DI during sessions.
The three-band EQ is highly musical, with sweep LF and MF, and selectable HF (6k and 12k). The panel layout is intuitive for transparent use while recording. The Joemeek Digital Audio Interface provides high-quality digital audio outputs and the ability to synchronize to an external word clock. The digital audio outputs are compatible with most digital recorders, as well as Digital Audio Workstations and mixers.
The TwinQ2 is more than just a dual studio channel strip; it's like having a professional recording studio in one box. It amplifies, compresses, and equalizes microphones or instruments, preparing them for recording. It's simple to use yet extremely powerful, enhancing any microphone or instrument and giving a professional studio production gloss to all your performances. It's also highly useful for live work.
Consider the TwinQ2 as five separate pieces of equipment: a preamplifier, a JOEMEEK Optical Compressor, a Meequalizer EQ, a fader, and an A to D Converter. With the Joemeek TwinQ2 Dual Studio Channel Strip, you're not just recording audio; you're creating a masterpiece.
