Safety item is a good idea for a screw on camera strap
It took forever for it to get here....10 days or more.

My tiny safety net
Simple and effective! I thankfully haven't needed it yet, but when you're carrying thousands of dollars of gear, it's nice to have a little extra peace of mind.

Can't get much simplier than this...
The cord is about as big as you can get and still have it comfortably fit through your camera's strap anchor point. I like that the knots are covered with heat shrink tubing. However, by necessity the cord can only be so big, so it definitely is a last resort type of precaution if you main clip fails for whatever reason. Even if the cord holds, I get nervous picking up my camera by only one anchor point! And I still haven't decided what I want to do with it when I'm not using a shoulder strap...take if off, or clip it to my neck strap, or let it dangle and have the metal slider bag against everything...

Great Insurance
You never know when a strap will break or slip off its connector. I've had it happen to me a couple of times when I least expected it. These may be added extras on your camera but they can save your camera so well worth the price.

good for the price
this little safety product is worth the price ( inexpensive ) the "string" would probably be better replaced with some sort of plastic covered metal but lets face it, it only has to hold the camera/lens for about 30 seconds till you realize your camera/strap connection has broken. In all fairness its not really string, it is some sort of nylonish cord and is probably far stronger than it seems. My only real beef with this is that the cord could be just a little longer, but just a little. A good product at the right price.

wish it was longer
it's designed for tethering cameras but i use it to tether other things as well. it would be nice if they came in varying lengths. i connect my whibal card to it so it would be nice if i can get one around 2 feet long so i can stretch out my hand with it to white balance my scene.

Perfect for the Pentax 67II
This protection device is perfect for my Pentax 67II. I have the CarrySpeed Sling Strap with the ballhead and this tether is a peace of mind. Easy to attach and non invasive.

Brings peace of mind!
I love my Joby tether, it brought peace of mind, knowing that if for some reason my camera would come loose from the Joby sling strap, it will still be held and kept from hitting the ground. Makes wearing the sling strap much more enjoyable!
