I winder to know if this is the same model as the Joby GorillaPod PRO for Smartphone with arms or is this model totally different?
I ask because I'm on a low budget and I was thinking of taking the Joby GorillaPod PRO first and then buying the little arms. This would work?

Just enough flexibility
The stand is great attached to the end of other tripods and unorthodox angles, just as you'd want. Don't overload the recommended weight, though.

Pleasantly Surprised
Was pleasantly surprised by this. It grips the phone really well. I use it with my phone and a DJI Pocket 2 at the same time so I can control the DJI pocket with my phone and see what I'm doing. Good for vlogging and good as a tripod. Versatile and endless options.

Sturdy quality
This tripod is so sturdy, can feel it when adjusting the legs. Would have been better if the legs were a bit more flexible. But works perfect. Easy to setup.

Great little rig
Awesome Pod! I never thought I'd use this thing, but I bought two, one for me, and one for the parents, and it has made video "tech support" calls a thousand times easier. It places the phone in just the right spot, allows for shake-free hands-free communication, and results in better sound quality and less feedback because the phone mic isn't so close to a table surface or the likes. The arms are strong but don't appear as though they could handle the treatment of an imbecilic gorilla. Strong enough for my needs! The two accessory arms seem pretty cool, and are something I would certainly use if I got serious about sound and light quality. The actual holder for the phone is strong and slip free. I like the fact that it easily rotates 90 degrees, and the screw clamp on the back holds well with minimal force applied to tighten. Overall this is a great little device.

Great for amateur Lifestyle recording
I'm an enthusiast photographer, and I love using the gorillapod while I play volleyball or Ultimate to get recordings of making plays and it's ease of use to set up anywhere is great. The included GoPro mount is a great bonus, the mount is sturdy enough to support a 5diii with a 24-70 f/2.8 which is impressive. Gives me the confidence to leave a 1500 dollar camera set up on a volleyball net post.
