My main reason for buying the Joby sling was to stop having to hand carry my Nikon D800e with battery pack and a Nikon 200-500 lens and I have to say it works great. It’s easy to swing up to shoot and then swing it behind me.

I am so glad I purchased this strap. I held my Canon 6D plus 35mm lens for over 6 hours the other night and it didn't bother me at all. This is very convenient and I will continue using this and my wrist strap for the foreseeable future.

After carrying around my camera on the provided neck strap for long periods of time and realizing how clumsy it is with long lenses, I decided to give the Joby Pro Sling Strap a try. After attaching it to my 7D Mark II, I went out and for 8 hours I walked and took pictures, and the ease of use and comfort the strap provided convinced me to never use another strap again. I cannot recommend this enough. Order this strap today, you will not be disappointed.

This strap was recommended by a pro photog friend of mine and I love it. The only drawback would be if you need to go back and forth between a tripod and carrying it as it connects at the mounting plate. I do a lot of video as well as photography.

This strap is the greatest. No pain in the neck. Easy to use, with a little learning cruve.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my professional photographer boyfriend. It's always a bit difficult finding just the right gift for the men in your life. He loves it. Says it makes shooting so much easier and secure.

The Joby Pro Sling Strap works well. It easily releases and tightens. I’m pretty confident that the attachment to the tripod mount is secure, but the additional safety cable is worthwhile insurance and it doesn’t get in the way. The reason for 4 stars is that it seems to slip a bit (weight of a D4s and a 2.8 70 -200, who’da thunk?). The lever to lock the Sling in place mitigates some of this. I purchased this size (S-L) in large part due to the discounted price, however I can see how the XL would put more of the weight on the broader section of the shoulder strap for a bit more comfort. But I experienced no discomfort even with the big lens for a few hours. The strap appears well built, but the plastic buckle that attaches the Sling to the tripod mount, while sturdy, only the test of time will determine its durability. Like all your gear, worth inspecting closely before you set out!

I'd been looking for an over-the-shoulder strap for my Canon T5i, and this fits the bill exactly. Easily adjustable and secured by a secondary connection, it allows me to carry the camera comfortably, to adjust the length of the strap at will, and to carry it safely. I love this strap.

Took a lot of research but pleased with my decision.I'm not a big guy but I bought the L-XXL version and I'm glad I did.The strap is well made, comfortable and you get a sense of security with the included tether.

The sling strap feels very well constructed. I like how the length can be adjusted easily. I don't use it like the video shows though, where the shooter pulls it tight after every shot. I prefer mine to be hang right around my hip, so I set the sling to that length, and then set the lock (there is way to lock the sling so the length doesn't change). Its nice when scrambling over rocks or through the woods, where you can pull it tighter against your body and lock it there. The only downsides I have so far are the fact that the safety clasp sometimes gets in the way of the locking mechanism. Overall, I'd recommend this sling.

Coming from an Op-Tech pro strap (a very good, comfortable strap), I like that I can lock the camera up high on my lower back and not have it bounce around on my hip like the Op-Tech. I didn't like the metal carabiner of the tether, (also why I didn't go with a BR) and I definitely wanted to use a tether with my 20-200 F2.8, so I adapted a set of connectors from the Op-Tech with a BR FR-3 screwed into the tripod connector on the lens. Works like a charm and gives me some peace of mind. Everything else about this strap is top notch.

The Joby Pro Sling Strap (S-L, Black/Charcoal) is designed for DSLRs. The length of Pro Sling Strap adjusts in seconds with a simple pull, thanks to the quick-draw SpeedCinch pulley system. The strap hardware makes it easy to quickly access your camera to shoot then quickly secure it tight against your body. The Pro Sling Strap's camera attachment mechanism has a greased bearing which allows your camera to freely rotate 360deg. without becoming unscrewed from the strap.
Secure your Pro Sling Strap to your camera by completely tightening the thumbscrew. For an even more secure grip, use a coin to tighten down the screw. Periodically check the tightness of the screw to ensure a secure attachment.
For additional peace of mind, attach the camera tether. Loop it through the left shoulder lug then attach the tether carabiner to the top loop of the camera strap webbing.
