My main reason for buying the Joby sling was to stop having to hand carry my Nikon D800e with battery pack and a Nikon 200-500 lens and I have to say it works great. It’s easy to swing up to shoot and then swing it behind me.

After carrying around my camera on the provided neck strap for long periods of time and realizing how clumsy it is with long lenses, I decided to give the Joby Pro Sling Strap a try. After attaching it to my 7D Mark II, I went out and for 8 hours I walked and took pictures, and the ease of use and comfort the strap provided convinced me to never use another strap again. I cannot recommend this enough. Order this strap today, you will not be disappointed.

This strap was recommended by a pro photog friend of mine and I love it. The only drawback would be if you need to go back and forth between a tripod and carrying it as it connects at the mounting plate. I do a lot of video as well as photography.

This strap is the greatest. No pain in the neck. Easy to use, with a little learning cruve.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my professional photographer boyfriend. It's always a bit difficult finding just the right gift for the men in your life. He loves it. Says it makes shooting so much easier and secure.

Took a lot of research but pleased with my decision.I'm not a big guy but I bought the L-XXL version and I'm glad I did.The strap is well made, comfortable and you get a sense of security with the included tether.

Coming from an Op-Tech pro strap (a very good, comfortable strap), I like that I can lock the camera up high on my lower back and not have it bounce around on my hip like the Op-Tech. I didn't like the metal carabiner of the tether, (also why I didn't go with a BR) and I definitely wanted to use a tether with my 20-200 F2.8, so I adapted a set of connectors from the Op-Tech with a BR FR-3 screwed into the tripod connector on the lens. Works like a charm and gives me some peace of mind. Everything else about this strap is top notch.

The Joby Pro Sling Strap (Black/Charcoal) is a thin and lightweight, form-fitting, retractable strap for people with t-shirt sizes from L to XXL. It holds and provides instant-access to, your DSLR with a battery grip and a telephoto zoom lens. As an added security measure, the strap also features a separate camera tether, which provides a second attachment point for your DSLR.
The Pro Sling Strap features an innovative SpeedCinch pulley system, which is a two-part camera retrieval and locking mechanism. First, it allows you to quickly retrieve your camera from an adjustable and retractable strap across your body. Second, it allows you to lock your DSLR at your back, preventing your camera from swinging and bouncing around. To return to shooting, simply unlock your camera and draw it forward in an upward arc motion; the strap doubles in length as the smooth material allows you to bring it up to eye-level.
The strap can be attached to your DSLR via a universal 1/4"-20 tripod thumbscrew. To quickly mount your camera with Pro Sling Strap to a tripod, you can first attach an optional Joby quick-release Ultra Plate to your camera. For comfort carrying the strap, the strong materials work to evenly distribute the weight of your camera away from your neck and shoulders.
