Doing investigation work, the camera is right there. No bounce when walking and when climbing the camera is not banging a ladder rung. Should have switched years ago.

There are more expensive options out there, but I settled on this sling and am glad I did. For only $29 I have a stable and comfortable strap that does exactly what I was looking for. The camera is held securely when locked in place and the attachment lug is strong and rotates freely keeping things from getting tangled. While the round loop attaching the strap and shoulder pad is plastic, it feels solid. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a sling.

I use this strap while I shoot weddings on the weekends. The things that are great about this product is the feeling of less clutter with the standard strap from Nikon and makes carrying around my camera more comfortable and freeing. I have run into a couple of problems. 1.) The loop in the shoulder to camera strap seems to be made of a plastic. I would feel more comfortable or feel more secure if it were a metal piece. 2.) the lock that goes in the tripod mount gets in the way of my portrait mode shooting. I have a battery grip that makes the camera a full body with portrait and landscape shooting capabilities. When this strap is attached, the camera doesn't sit right in my hand in Portrait. Otherwise, this item is fantastic. I gave it 4 stars but in actuality I would give it a 4.5 star rating due to the problems mentioned above. It would be 5 stars if these points were fixed.

Just like when I got my new DSLR, there is a bit of a learning curve here... But once you master it, you'll never want another sling. This thing works great, and it's built solid!

I've been using this to support about 10lbs of camera and lens, and it works beautifully. It settles on the shoulder in a way that doesn't cause discomfort on long hikes and because it can screw into a tripod foot, it allows the transportation of larger lenses without a bag/case.

Worth tackling the learning curve...

The Joby UltraFit Sling Strap for Men (XL, Charcoal) makes your photography fast, comfortable and more fun. It features a custom-designed pivot ring that allows you to adjust the angle of the strap to best fit across your body. No more loose threads or abrasive points on your camera strap. Soft-edged webbing contours to your body, allowing you to wear your camera wherever is most comfortable.
The UltraFit Sling Strap is designed to make sure that your camera is always out of harm's way. There's no quicker way to ruin a great shoot than by cracking a lens. The UltraFit attachment mechanism has a greased bearing which allows your camera to freely rotate without becoming unscrewed from the strap, but it is important to periodically check the tightness of the screw.
