Comes with no instructions
It is sturdy with lots of holes, but has no examples or instructions of what to do with all the holes. It protrudes too far from both sides of the camera base. I purchased it because I needed a way to attach the camera to my Joby tripod this week. Joby did not have the smaller standard square one in stock. It attaches accurately to the Joby tripod but it is too pointed to leave on the camera when I have the camera on a strap around my neck. It was well boxed for shipping and it arrived in 2 days.

Functional plate ... Plus, it has a slot for my hand strap!
This filled my need for an Arca Swiss plate with a slot for my hand strap perfectly!

Just what I was looking for!
I love my Joby Ultra Sling but wasn't thrilled about removing it every time I wanted to use my tripod. The Ultra Plate solves this problem simply, strongly, and for a good price. My sling now remains attached to my camera at all times but I can pop the Ultra Plate into the Arca-Swiss clamp on my tripod in seconds, get the shot, slip it off the tripod, and it's back on my shoulder for walking

Works great
I like that I can have a functional Quick Release tripod mounted to my camera at the same time as I have my Jobe Sling strap attached. In fact I bought a 2nd plate.
