Not made very well
It's hard to get this holder to stay in the position you want. The locking device has to be tightened very hard or the weight of the lamp makes it drift. Thought I was going to snap it off. Add an umbrella and its nearly impossible to lock it down.

Hardware too weak. Not stable
As in the case of the other JTL lamps I purchased, the tightening screw is not strong enough to hold the fixture in place. If you really crank it down, it will break off in your hand! This item looks okay in the product photo, but it's just a plastic simulation in real life. Dear JTL, I like your prices, but the product is too weak. Spend a little more on metal parts and raise the cost a bit. It will pay off!

to basic apparently
I utilize bulbs sets on shoots that vary in light and numbers of people. Simply put it is very much cheaper to replace bulbs and light holders rather than strobes. I have to say that this brand of bulb holder has not performed well. Of the intial 3 I purchased only one has not shorted within the first 6 months.

Disappointed
This piece came out of the box with striped threads for the set screw securing the umbrella shaft. The swivel clamp can't be tightened enough to prevent slippage if any size umbrella is attached unless using pliers to tighten. (no, I didn't use pliers, so the head never got used, only thrown in the dust heap of cheap junk I've bought over the years) Bottom line, [$] spent that never will make me back even a cent. Very disappointed with this product.

Great for the price
this is good for someone who prefers continuous lighting. it's incredibly affordable. the unit seems a little flimsy. hot lights would also melt this unit. my only complaint is that you can't attached a reflector dish to it (i thought those were threads in the photo)
