Plain and simple...p**p.

This was for use as a background light. I just bought this NEW and did 10 shots with this light (LITERALLY!), now it is out. Not sure if it is the bulb yet, but I am not thinking it is. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

save your money

Baught this with a snoot as a background light.Snoot gets extremely hot with modeling light on, afraid it might melt! also flash tube went out after a month and found out a replacement will cost [$](WHOLE UNIT COSTS [$]) i'm going to save my money and buy another Flashpoint

Get What You Pay For -- No Less

I use this as a second light source for portraits and other interior shots (main source is a 250W Photogenic monolight). I've also used it by itself when I need to shoot elsewhere: it's compact and light in weight, and with an umbrella and a reflector, if does a pretty good job of lighting one or two subjects. This version replaces a 10-year-old JTL-110 -- the new one is better because the intensity control is continuous.
