This system is designed for travel and can operate in both 110 and 240Volt environments, as well as 28.8 (2x 14.4 camera batteries) and 30 Volt. The lamp housing is made from high-temperature black epoxy aluminum casting, with a light gray epoxy striker compartment.

The News Beamer is a solid one-piece machined aluminum with replaceable ears, clear anodized, and features very short radial action focusing. The Safety Glass Beaker is made from tempered Borosilicate UV filter. The yoke features a 5/8" Baby size receptacle, made from black epoxy finish aluminum casting, and has a large brake area for use of front-end lightbanks, speed rings, louvers, and lanterns.

The lamp is a MSR 200 HR, with a color temperature of 5600 Kelvin and a life of 200 hours. The power supply is electronic, square wave flicker-free, with an AC input of 90-265 Volt 50 or 60 Hz, and a DC Input of 30 Volt or 14.4 Volt. It features a dual function ON/OFF push button switch and is completely silent, thanks to convection cooling. The connectors are Veam quarter turn quick locking.

The kit includes a 25ft extension cable and a 9ft cable attached to the head. The reflector is a 4 3/4" diameter stippled parabolic, electrolytically coated. The accessory size is 6 5/8", and the kit comes with accessories including a Barndoor, Dicroic, and Scrims.
