Pretty good for the price, only disappointment is that you cannot change the aperture on digital lenses due to the lack of a passthrough.

I got this and the Metabones to test with my OM lenses. Two of my OM lenses wouldn't fit the Metabones, the Olympus 50mm 1.8 and the Tokina 35-105mm 3.5-4.5 so I was only able to compare the two speedboosters on a Tokina 80-200mm 2.8 and a Tokina 28-70mm 2.8-4.3. The Kipon was just a hair behind the Metabones hardly enough to justify spending $449 for the Metabones. Like another reviewer wrote if you have some OM lenses at $ the Kipon is definitely worth getting. Some photos taken with the Kipon and the Tokina 35-105 on a Olympus M1 MK II. The Tokina acts like a 49-147mm f/2.5-3.2 with this configuration.

Perfect, fits my GH4, slides in well and easy to release. Gives a wider view and picture is sharp.

I have taken a fair number of pictures with the adapter with a number of different OM lenses. The first thing I will say is I eyeballed whether I could use this adapter with the 50 mm F1.4 or the 50 mm F1.8 and concluded I should not give it a try. The flange on the back of those lenses seems to extend too far into the amount. I was afraid the flange would scratch the glass on the mount. I do not have that problem with the 50 mm F3.5 macro, the 85 mm F2.0, the 100 mm F2.8, 135 mm F2.8, the 180 mm F2, the 200 mm F4 and the 300 mm F4.5. (Yes, I have a bit of a gear acquisition syndrome problem.) The second thing I will say is that the mount seems quite well built and arrives in a very nice box. although it seems like there are a couple of spots of dust inside the adapter. the most important thing though is how it performs. It certainly does reduce the image size so that each lens is closer to the field of view it originally had on a film camera. I am not 100% sure about the image quality, however. I can't say it is demonstrably worse but I can't say it is demonstrably better. The best I can say is it seems to be about the same as the image quality of the same lens on the same camera without the adapter. that being said, most of my pictures have been playing around indoors oftentimes using a flash. When the weather gets a little nicer and I start taking more pictures outside, I hope to update this review. Bottom line, I have not compared this against the more expensive meta-bones adapter. Or any of the cheaper alternatives. For $, it was worth trying something new. But if you are trying to decide between buying a lens that is specifically designed for your camera and spending $ on this adapter, I would just buy the lens. If you already have a bunch of OM lenses that you like, have $ lying around that you don't really need, and want to have a little more fun with photography, go for it.

Nowadays, as the number of people using interchangeable lens digital cameras increase, default combinations of camera lenses and bodies are no longer able to satisfy the increasingly sophisticated demands of the many photography enthusiasts. The advent of lens adapters have given users full rein of customizing their equipment to best fulfill their needs through different combinations of lenses and camera bodies. However, although individual camera manufacturers have created their own customized adapters, lenses and camera bodies between different manufacturers can not be used directly. At KIPON, a world-renown camera adapter manufacturer, we have developed over 400 types of adapters. With our various adapters, we offer our users the freedom and compatibility of lenses and camera bodies that transcends different times and manufacturers. We have made possible not only the interchangeable use of products across brands but also the use of traditional film lenses.
KIPON camera adapters can be classified as the following: macro adapters, electronic adapters, adapters with built-in glass, optical focal reduction adapters, tilt adapters, shift adapters, tilt and shift adapters and more.
The KIPON BAVEYES EOS-M4/3 0.7x mounts Canon EOS EF lenses onto M4/3 Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera bodies. Please note that after mounting the adapter, while infinity focus is available, only manual mode will be accessible in shooting. This adapter, designed by German optics research institution IB/E OPTICS, can mount full frame lenses onto APS-C frame camera bodies. There are four pieces of optical customized multiple layer coating glasses within the adapter.
With the optical focal reduction adapter, when the full frame lens is mounted onto the APS-C frame camera body, the crop factor is negated and you can get a full view filed though the lens. This solves the issue of edge cracking in photos caused by adapter without optical glasses and allows for sharper images. The image will also be much brighter due to an increased concentration of light, equal to one stop more aperture value for a typical lens for the same aperture value. This increase is more obvious when the lens aperture value is less than 2.
All KIPON adapters undergo the CNC turning center procedure during manufacturing to provide our customers with only the utmost precision and the ease and accuracy of photography. All adapters are made of brass and or aluminium alloy.
Please note that not all camera models and lenses are compatible with this adapter. Please take extra care and notice when attempting to use any adapter with wide angle and fish eye lenses. Please contact a local dealer if you have any questions regarding compatibility.
