Allows for infinity focus. Well made. Does require stop down metering, but you can't expect anything else for the price. Adapter is not black as depicted in pictures, but silver.
Works well
I bought this to enable me to use my M42 collection on my Contax RTS II. Works like a charm. Allows for infinity focus. Comes with a tool to make it easier to take it off of the camera body without a lens attached. Does require that you stop-down. Actual adapter is bare metal and not anodized black.

The KIPON M42-C/Y adapter can mount M42 series screw lenses on Contax Yashica camera bodies. Please note that after mounting the adapter only manual focus will be accessible when shooting. There is a inner ring on the adapter which presses against the pin on the lens to allow the lens to control the aperture. Please note that lenses with extra long pins can not be mounted with this adapter.
