From the moment the long-awaited Blackmagic box camera was introduced, the PYXIS Cage System B Kit in Raven Black by KONDOR BLUE has been the go-to solution for filmmakers seeking a versatile and robust rigging system. This modular cage system is meticulously designed to enhance your production capabilities, offering a feature-rich experience that caters to a wide range of shooting scenarios.The PYXIS Cage System B Kit includes two sets of Top and Bottom Plates, each covering half the area from front to back. These plates are fully symmetrical from left to right, making them ideal for balanced setups, especially when operating on a gimbal. This design not only reduces the overall cage weight but also provides essential mounting options, ensuring maximum stability and flexibility.For those looking to push the limits of recording capacity, the kit can be paired with the Pro-Blade SSD Top Handle and the innovative dual NATO mounting kit, supporting drives of 1TB, 2TB, or even 4TB. The Top and Bottom Plates can be reversed and mounted under-slung, perfect for complex jib or dolly shots. The front ARRI mounts, spaced 60mm apart, are compatible with 15mm rods using the KB M12 Anti-Twist Mounts, similar to the configurations seen in Sony FX6 and Burano cages.Power management is seamless with the ability to run both the native Sony BP-U battery and a V-Mount or Gold Mount plate from the back of the Top Plate or via a Baseplate kit. The integrated ARRI style 60-tooth rosette with M6 mounting standard, along with the NATO rail featuring a safety pin, and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 anti-twist mounts, offer unparalleled customization. These components can be positioned at either end of the camera and even inverted to place the rosette at the bottom, ideal for rigging extension arms and grips for shoulder and Easy Rig setups.The Side Rails are engineered to accommodate Drop-in filter lens adapters, such as the MOFAGE Poco and Breakthrough Photography DFM adapters. The Side Plate is a powerhouse of options, featuring dual cold shoes, anti-twist mounts, a removable safety-pin NATO, and an in-line bubble level. It can be mounted with the NATO rail at the top or bottom, and the rail can be removed to allow tripod plates to be attached in either orientation for vertical shooting. The mounting row is precisely centered with the sensor, ensuring consistent parallax when used on a gimbal or tripod.Additionally, two 3mm anti-twist pins are conveniently stored at the back of the plate for accessory mounting via the Side Plate's center mount. For ease of use, 1.5mm and 3mm hex tools are magnetically attached to the plate, ensuring quick access. Designed for adaptability, each plate's mounting bolts are held captive, allowing for secure attachment with minimal hardware, while maintaining exceptional stability.Speed, customization, and flexibility are the core attributes of the KONDOR BLUE's Blackmagic PYXIS Cage System B Kit.
