Was able to use the recovery software right away to save the day for a friend who deleted their photos. The software worked very well and I am now a hero. The memory card has worked very well in my D70. Hopefully I will get to try it out in a D300 later this year (Santa are you listening?)

Price was so incredible ([$]) that I bought two. I've received both rebates, also. Fast enough for sports photography at 8 fps. But don't be stupid like me: I formatted both cards to confirm they were in working order, then discovered that there was recovery software included -- preloaded onto the cards I'd just formatted! The ultimate irony was that I had just erased the software that would have allowed me to retrieve the software I just erased!

I love this card! The storage capacity is HUGE! I can take about 800-900 shots in RAW mode before this thing is full, for me that’s a full day (or more) of shooting. Sometimes I do worry about losing all the data on the card because it's like putting all your eggs in one basket, though it's convenient, it would spell major trouble if you were to lose it all, however knowing it comes with the recovery software puts me at ease somewhat (the software doesn’t prevent loss or theft, obviously). I haven’t had any problems with mine. The speed is fine, it doesn't slow my 30D down when shooting in the continuous shooting mode, it does take a long time to transfer 8GB but that's to be expected. I would definitely buy another if I ever need more space.

I originally bought this for my Canon XTi camera and it worked great but then my iPod mini started having problems so I swapped out the 4GB Hard drive out of the mini for this card and everything works great, plus I now have an 8gb ipod. I am now ordering my second card to use it in my camera again You can't beat the price after the rebate

Recommend a high-speed CF reader. Downloading 1000 raw images can take a while.

excellent product for an unbelievable price if you could claim their rebates. The rebate center is a pleasant surprise too. unbelivably helpful if at all you should need them!!!

This CF card has enough storage to shoot a large number of RAW images without having to change cards. The 133x speed allows fast writing to the card for multlple fast shots, and a reasonable download from the card to a computer. The Easy Recovery software utility is pre-installed on the card and should be copied to a computer before using or formatting. It is easy to just put into your camera and format in which case the free software is lost. Having done this, Kingston was very helpful in providing a FTP download of the Easy Recovery utility from their web site. Kingston has made their CF card attractive and distinctive by using photographs on the various models.

The 8 GB size lets me shoot much longer before changing cards - a great benefit, along with the high speed of the card. The bonus recovery software is a MUST! I had a 4 GB card with unreplaceable RAW files that somehow became corrupted. Well over half of the files on the bad card couldn't be read by Photoshop or anything else, nor could any of several other recovery software programs do anything. Initially I wasn't too thrilled because the software is PC-only, and I'm Mac-based. I "borrowed" time on a friend's PC, and this marvelous software recovered ALL 219 RAW files perfectly!
