Shopper : I'm looking to use this product to back up photos when travelling, are you able to visually see/confirm that your photos have been saved to the device? Preferably through a smart phone? I will not be travelling with a lap top.MIKE F : The device is like a wireless USB to your phone or device. You can transfer and should be able to verify. However how will you be connecting... from what device? The device has be iPhone or Android for optimum user. (auto upload possible via private network you establish using the device software)RICHARD R : I'm sorry but I'm not sure if you will be able to visually see your photos from the USB Wireless Reader. I purchased this a while ago and haven't really had any use for it. What little I did with it, I found a little cumbersome and too PC like (I use Macs and an iPhone.) Sorry I couldn't be of more help.JAMES B : Yes, through the app on your mobile device you can see and access the files that are stored on the usb and flash card memory devices - it acts like a file manager utility and you can move the files between the mobile device and the Kingston device. It works quite well - just make sure that you have the Kingston device fully charged before your trip.JUERGEN S : The answer is yes. Android and IOS support this product. If you have a windows Phone/Tablet or PC goto this link for demonstration on how to set things up. Unfortunately this site will not allow posting links. Here's a work around, go to You Tube and search for: "Using a Kingston MobileLite, juan bagnell" He has several very goodvideos which will explain the use and functionality of the Mobilelite deviceROBERT K : Yes, you can see what files are on the Mobilelite using an associated app that runs on your smart phone. You also use this app to copy files to the Mobilelite, so you can select which photos to backup and see them transfer.
Shopper : What does this do?DAVID S : I use it to back up my photos when I'm traveling. It has two slots -- one for a memory card and one for a flash drive. It is controlled by your smart phone. I put my newly shot memory card in that slot, and a back up flash drive in its slot. The device allows me to copy my photos from the memory card to the flash drive.JUDITH M : This device sends pictures or movies, wirelessly, to three devices. Each device may view three different movies at the same time. Media is loaded onto a SD card or an USB drive. Easy to load, easy to use, you'll love it!JAMES B : Amazing product. MobileLite WiFi should suit my needs when my iPhone gets filled with video. Not a very intuitive setup. It came with outdated firmware which I had to upgrade and set up was a bit finicky. Does perform well now after configuring and messing with it a bit.
