Quality SDXC Cards That Stay Cool

I have previously used PNY 256GB cards. When I went with their 512GB offering, it literally cooked itself to death when files were being copied to it. Kingston states that their cards do not overheat on their website, and that is indeed the case. When performing a copy of 230GB of data the Kingston card was warm, but not hot as the PNY was.

Great card, period!

Kingston makes great cards. I have been using them in my DSLR, camcorder, and waterproof compact for over 5 years now and have been very happy. I realized how well they are made when the seal on the waterproof compact failed in salt water! Once I let the card dry out, I not only was able to recover the images, but the card works good as new!

Good, not great

Achieved a 33 MB/sec effective write speed in D7100 test shooting NEF images...close to advertised speed, I'll grant them that. See http://sportsphotoguy.com/d7100-raw-burst-test/.

Kingston's Class 10 UHS-I card features UHS-I technology and impressive performance that lets users shoot full 1080p HD video and 3D video and transfer files faster too.

• Impressive 300x UHS-I speeds for sequential shots and 3D video
• Ideal for use with DSLR cameras and HD camcorders

With speeds up to 90MB/s read and 45MB/s write1, this versatile card transfers files much faster than standard Class 10 SDHC/SDXC cards. Photographers can shoot high-density image files, such as RAW or JPEG, without running out of space, and the card's higher sustained write speeds support continuous burst mode and ensure video integrity by reducing stutter.

The Class 10 UHS-I card is compatible with SDXC. The card is backed by a lifetime warranty, free technical support and legendary Kingston reliability.
