I wanted a fast card reader that I can keep in my bag for use in the field. It's compact and appears durable. I chose this over the Lexar because of price. Although I can't make a direct comparison, the Kingston does exactly what I need.

Use this reader for importing photos from the camera SDHC cards. Very fast. Have used it a few times to write to cards also, works very well.

My desktop is usb 2.0 and I've noticed a definite increase in uploading speed. I've yet to try it on my usb 3.0 laptop. Delivery to West Coast (LA) was in 3 business days with USPS which was a day faster than promised.

Excellent Product. It is very thin and portable, fitting in camera bag or backpack with ease. 3.0 usb is fast keeping upload times low. Cards slide in without any fuss. This reader is a blessing for me. It allows me to use multiple type of cards with my tablet making shoots much more efficient.

This card reader does what it is intended to do in a fast, efficient manner. I have not run timed tests but it appears to load files much faster than previous card readers I have used. It also seems to be a stronger construction. Inserting cards has a firmer feel than other readers. I have mostly used CF cards, but have also tried SD cards.

After having an internal reader go bad I wanted something simple and no instalation. Bingo, Kingston delivered perfectly. No complaints whatsoever and USB 3.0.

Uploads from files on Nikon 800e into Lightroom very fast. Other card readers sometimes cannot mount compact flash cards well, but this one has a confident feel.

I use it for downloading thousands of wedding photos after each wedding. So far it is very reliable and works just like my old Sandisk USB2.0 card reader, except much faster. I think it maxes out somewhere around 100mb at burst (about as fast as the internal hard drive will write, and something like 60mb sustained...but in any case it's a lot faster than USB2.0. Price is also pretty good for a USB3.0 reader. Overall I have had very good experiences with Kingston products. No failures as of yet (RAM, flash drives, card readers). I give 4 stars only because I am conservative in my ratings and have not used it for longer than a few weeks. It has not given my any problems at all, but to give 5 stars so soon would be premature IMO.

Good size, decently long USB cord, and I like the red light status indicator. Glad I have one.

For some reason I go through readers pretty fast, so I cannot justify buying an expensive reader when this does the exact same job with my raw 22 megapixal stills & video files.

This is a very good product at a very affordable price. USB 3.0 makes this reader very fast. I have used it only for about 2-3 wks and so far very good. Wish they had provided some sort of clamp to attach to computer screen or may be some sort of sticky... That way we don't have to use both hands - one to hold the reader and the other insert/remove card which can be annoying....

Just plug and play. Faster than my old 2.0. Wanted something portable, best one I have found.

Seems nice so far, and looks good on my desk. I don't have fast enough cards to assess the USB 3.0 level speeds. As a useful tip, you can go to Windows Disk Management interface and remove drive letter from the reader slots that you don't use. This way you won't have 4-5 empty drives showing up. I only use the SD slot, so I removed everything except that. You can also tell Windows to hide empty drives, but if you have the "show hidden files ..." option enabled, the drives will still show up as grayed out.

This is the third brand I've tried and by far the best. I now have three of them.

This is one of the fastest and most reliable card readers out there. I previously owned Kingston's USB 2.0 version of this device and was extremely happy with it. Having recently upgraded to a Nikon D800, I needed something that could take advantage of the USB 3.0 speeds on my computer. This new Kingston reader definitely delivers. Works perfect with my UDMA 7 Lexar card as well as SDXC cards to give me the top read and write speeds that the card is capaable of. The only downside I can see to this device is the use of a proprietary USB cord. I don't expect the cord to ever fail, but if it the options for replacement are rather limited.
