This is a monopod head, not a tripod hea
This device is great on a monopod or a Trekpod or similar device that can be rotated. It is of no value on a tripod. My first use for it was photographing bears in trees. It is difficult to use a monopod without a head for this application.

The swivel tilt head features one-axis movement, which allows the positioning of the camera for a 90 degree vertical format with the monopod in the upright stance. Requires quick release plate.
