Does not keep the plate level
I bought this to mount on an Arca-Swiss Z1 ballhead. The primary attraction for me was the quick turn knob. I can go from locked to fully released in about 1 full revolution, which is nice when using an L-bracket. My old screw knobs take around 4 turns to release.
Unfortunately, this design isn't precision made. I noticed on clamping the jaws that the clamp shoves the plate upwards, pushing it out of level with respect to the clamp. This makes leveling the tripod and the clamp itself useless. I had to return it. I've used Kirk products with great success for over 10 years but this clamp was a big disappointment.
