I shoot 35mm, 6x7, and 4x5. I use TMAX 100 for B&W and Porta 160 for color. TMAX is an excellent film, if you pay attention to exposure and processing.

This film is amazing. It definitely produces the highest quality black and white images out there.

Fine grain film with extremely wide exposure latitude. Great for portraiture.

TMax100 is a very sharp film with a great exposure lattitude when proper exposure and development are achieved. If your process isn't consistent and precise, you might want to run some tests and eliminate variables. Your results with this beautiful film will be worth it!

T-Max tested out for me to be EI 100, compared to EI 200 for Tri-x. And the grain and sharpness is far superior. Even the tonal range is better. I don't think there is any B&W film close to T-Max.

I'm glad that we can still get TMAX film in 4x5 inch sheets. How much longer?

Nice film: - detailed but without agressivity - nice for portraits - long tonal range - very forgiving in overexposures
