Questions & Answers

Shopper : How many rolls of film come in a box?JESSICA S : OneARTHUR S : one
Susan R : is this film expired?ANDREW R : Film from Adorama is sold "in date" and fresh unless explicitly noted as "short dated" or expired. The actual date is unknown until the package is pulled for shipment.GREGORY F : Shouldn't be..VICTOR O : No, Adorama doesn't sell expired film unless is stated in the description
Shopper : CAN THIS FILM SURVIE CARRY-ON LUGAGE SCAN AT AIRPORTS?BRIAN W : it went through Sky Harbor in Phoenix with no problems.DAVID V : This I do not know. Sorry.DAVE D : Anything under iso 400 is fine as carry on... Just don't check it. Repeated exposure will also cause grain to increase.DAVE D : Anything under iso 400 is fine as carry on... Just don't check it. Repeated exposure will also cause grain to increase.DAVE D : Anything under iso 400 is fine as carry on... Just don't check it. Repeated exposure will also cause grain to increase.BRIAN E : I can only answer for unexposed film: i just carried on 4 rolls of unexposed Ektar on my carry-on luggage. However, I did not try to take exposed film back on the return flight. I mailed the exposed film directly to my local photoshop. SONJA G : I don't know. I think x-rays can mess up film but not sure. Google your question. you should have your question answered.JAMES L : yes. But, if you can get a lead film bag/pouch to play it safe you would be better off...just in case. The carry on scanners will not impact the 100asa film.GUNA A : Most airport X-rays will not fog film that easily unless it is very fast film (400 ASA and above). They use a lot less powerful X-Ray machines now, and boost the image with image intensifier technology. I have traveled with this film in my bags, and I just place them in a Zip Lock Bag, and ask them not to scan them. Sometimes they listen, and sometimes they don't. My camera with the film does get scanned, and I have not noticed any fogging on the pictures.GABRIELA M : No. I personally hand it to TSA in a bag for inspection.MICHAEL G : I've put it through in carry ones with no trouble. To be on the safe side, you can always put the rolls in the change dish and pass it around the scanner to the TSA guy.ERIC W : It should be fine. If you are traveling in the USA you can always ask for a hand check and avoid the scanners. I have had iso 400 and 800 speed film scanned once or twice with no problems.SHERRI E : Yes it can. DEREK BRIAN Y : Yes, you'd have to send it through the airport scanners dozens of times for you to see any effect, and the lower the film speed the less susceptible the film is. I wouldn't worry (I've taken this film overseas many times and never had an issue)CHRISTOPHER B : All film has the potential to be effected by the powerful scanners at airports, to be safe with your film have it as a carry on and to be individually checked by the security there as you go through the line. It's better to be safe because each airport is different and uses different technology. An alternative would be to purchase a lead-lined film bag. Hope that helped!

Great film, great price, fast (free) shipping!

I looked at a variety of places before I made a bulk purchase of film on Adorama. Best prices and I knew I could trust where it was coming from (unlike some of the other online marketplace sites where you never really know where the item is coming from).

Packs a punch

Good film. It definitely packs a punch, so be prepared for such bright colors. Not super my style, but if you turn down the contrast it works well.

Took great photos but almost took my fingers off in the process...

I love these photos. No grain! However, the strangest thing happens when I open my camera to take the film out. It burned my finger tips right off! Ouch.

Great experience!

I haven't had the chance to use the film yet but as a company I'm very happy with moment, not only was the shipping incredibly fast coming from the US but after doing some research I found out that the company is carbon neutral and actively trying to reduce their waste. These are attributes in a company I appreciate, I will definitely be coming back to moment for future film needs.

Motion picture film in your SLR camera

By KENT K.

Ran my first roll over to a chain store's C-41 machine and took home to scan myself. Completely impressed. Haven't done any prints nor blow ups yet. Most of the shots I took were Fall landscapes. It scans totally different from other negative films in a good way. I have viewed only on a HD monitor with a 17 MB per shot. What is striking is its look of motion picture film. I also shoot 16 mm motion picture film... It looks the same-meaning it has the detail and warmth of a movie. The e...
