Have been using this for decades, like probably 99% of other film developers. Too cheap to justify doing time-consuming research to determine if there is a better or cheaper solution to do what it does.

First stop bath I’ve used and it works great. I just recently started developing my own film so from a novice’s point of view it works just fine. The only bad thing is its smell. It is not pleasant. But I imagine other stop baths also do not smell so great.

Being a beginner it was simple to use. Had to look up the instructions on Kodak's site. But my black and white negatives came out great.

Works as advertised, used with d76 developer it stopped the process exactly as it should. Very easy to mix and will make alot of stop bath.

If you're doing your own B/W film processing, then you'll need a stop bath of some kind. This is the gold standard. It absolutely stops all developer activity and can reused until it turns purple. Also suitable to use on papers in the darkroom

Although you can simply use a 1-2 minute water bath in between your developer and fixer to clean your film of developer and to stop the process, using Kodak's indicator stop bath not only shortens that wash time to 30 seconds but more importantly it stops the development process which will give you more accurate developing times and it also helps prolong the use of your fixer (allowing the fixer not to become contaminated by developer weakening it for reuse on the next rolls with little replenishment). One 16 oz bottle will last a very long time (store it properly) with the recommended dilution of 1/63 you could even dilute a little further.

For B&W processing you need a stop bath. To reduce film in water/chemicals time and for paper the indicator lets you know when the solution is exhausted. Nice.

I recently got back into developing B&W films and using the stop bath to help develop old roll films that I had found in some antique cameras in my camera collection. This stop bath works great. Delivery was quick and came when promised. I will be getting more soon. Now I want to go out and shoot more B&W film. I recommend it

I buy this in bulk for a school darkroom. By far the most cost efficient concentrate available, Sprint and Ilford products are 1:9 dilutions, this is 1:63. Adorama is the only available vendor, for some reason. I hope they continue to stock it!

Got back into film photography recently and most chemicals are unavailable locally. Adorama is my go to place for fresh chemicals. Thanks!

daughter wanted to do old school darkroom so i had to order all the parts. B&H wouldn't send it after i had ordered. local photo supply didn't have any so.. thanks to Adorama for coming through and i didn't have to make it from scratch.

This is a great and fast stop. It gets the job done and a bottle this size will last a while. Be prepared for strong odor.

Our non-destructive testing laboratory has used this product for 30 plus years. It has always been reliable and cost effective. The last batches prior to this order seem to be breaking down a little faster than previous purchases. We hope this batch will last as long as they used to. We hope that Kodak keeps making this product for a long, long time!

Not much you can say about a bottle of super strong vinegar and phenothaline indicator. But, it comes in a convenient strength and bottle.

Perfect product for beginners

Being a beginner it was simple to use. Had to look up the instructions on Kodak's site. But my black and white negatives came out great.
Concentrated liquid stop bath that turns purplish blue to signal exhaustion. Dilute one part concentrate with 64 parts water.
