Top of the line black and white film.

Top of the line black and white film. This is my absolute favorite film stock for black and white photography. The Tmax grain is really esthetically pleasing and the dynamic range in the tones is awesome. Sometimes I'll switch to the ISO 400 just for more grain. Love this stuff!

Great film and pleasant purchase

TMAX 100 is one of my favorite films. I love the look of the film and the almost invisible grain in 120 size film. The purchase from Adorama is always a pleasant experience and I have been dealing with them for ages. Generally, get all my film and chemicals from them. Indeed, I'm writing this review on a computer that I purchased through them ages ago. I highly recommend TMX 100 in 120 and Adorama as the vendor to buy it from.

TMAX films, for always stunning tonality and deeper mid tones.

This film has consistently smooth tonality. When developed with XTOL or HC110, and exposed a touch toward the shadow side, it reminds me of the beautiful tonalities achieved with film stocks from the 60?s and 70?s, that had slightly more of a silvery almost brown tonality to them. You can see great examples on my site, if that helps. I?m at damonpablo dot com and am always open to sharing information with others. Thx Adorama!

My favorite B&W film

T-Max 100 and 400 are two of the finest films I've used. The grain is attractive and it's extremely forgiving on exposure as well as pushing.

Great 100 ISO Negative Film Stock

Well, it's a slow B&W film. And it works great. Surprise surprise. Grain is very fine, not the finest but I actually really like this middle ground. In terms of contrast, I've found it to be on the more contrasty side, but that could totally be dependent on the chemicals my lab uses. I definitely like this look and will most likely buy again in the coming months.

Top choice in B/W film

This is my go to B/W film. I shoot 100 ISO unless there is a very good reason to use a faster ISO film. This stuff has been great since it first came out. Great tones and very fine grain produce fantastic prints.

Wish I could Add my developed photos!! For T-Max 100 Kodak film, but I will.

Kodak film has always been good and I see no reason to think other wise. I hope to finish using the film soon so I can develop it with Kodak developers, stop bath and fixer, Along with clearing agent probably as well. It’s great that Kodak has all the products still available to do analog, or as it’s properly known, film photography. Kodak’s products work well together and have a high rate of consistent performance, especially when used together. If you’re planning on getting into film photography, Go for it ! Be sure to try a few different system And be sure to regularly use Kodak! You won’t be disappointed!

I love this product!!

By Kate

I use this product for my black and white photography class and always have good results! This product is best used for shooting outdoors with a good amount of light. If you do shoot indoors, make sure you have your camera placed firmly on some sort of base or your image will blur a little. I love how my prints turn out with this film and won't use any other kind for my class.

Nice smooth grain in pictures!

Great film!!!! Super impressed by this black and white film. You can see the grain in the pictures but it looks like very fine and good in the black and white pictures you take with this film. Definitely a well priced black and white film and I was impressed with the results!

Its ISO 100 sensitivity allows for exceptional image quality in various lighting conditions, while the 35mm format and 24 exposure capacity offer ample opportunities for creativity and exploration in your photography.

The film's extremely fine grain and very high resolving power ensure that every frame you shoot is imbued with a level of sharpness and detail that is truly unparalleled. The medium speed rating of ISO 100/21° in most developers provides a perfect balance between image quality and exposure flexibility, making it suitable for both novice and experienced photographers.

From photomicrography to documenting gross specimens and copy work applications, this durable film stands up to the rigors of lab documentation and scientific imaging with ease. Its adaptability and high performance make it the go-to choice for photographers who require a film that can keep up with their artistic vision and professional demands.

In summary, the KODAK T-MAX 100 Professional Film is a testament to Kodak's legacy of excellence in photography. It is a versatile, reliable, and high-quality film that is sure to elevate the art of black-and-white photography to new heights.

Kodak T-Max 100 TMX Features

  • KODAK T-GRAIN Emulsion that reshapes pebble-like crystals into a tabular form with more surface to catch light
  • Allows films with extremely fine grain to be made faster; high-speed films have finer grain. T-MAX Professional Films offer the best of both worlds: high speed and fine grain
  • Improved sharpness
  • Maintains subject detail in prints at higher degrees of magnification than conventional films
  • Expanded exposure latitude
  • Greater "forgiveness" with overexposure errors; quality prints from moderately under- or overexposed negatives
  • Better highlight separation
  • Improved reciprocity at long and short exposure times
  • Less compensation required than with conventional films
  • Improved dimensional stability; easier darkroom handling
  • Virtually no difference between the daylight and tungsten film speeds
  • No need to adjust exposure for different light sources
  • More responsive to zone-system development changes
  • Smaller time adjustments needed
  • No increase in processing time required for one-stop "push" with most developers
  • No need to segregate one-stop-pushed film from normally exposed film. You can mix normal exposures and one-stop-pushed exposures on the same roll. (You may want to use paper one-half grade higher in contrast to print one-stop-pushed exposures.)
  • Less development-time increase required for film pushed by two or more stops
  • Saves processing time
  • Processed in standard developers, including KODAK T-MAX Developer and KODAK T-MAX RS Developer and Replenisher
  • No need for a special developer. You can process T-MAX Professional Films with other black-and-white films
  • T-MAX 100 Professional Film--excellent for use in copy applications with normal exposure and processing
  • No need for contrast adjustment or special processing
  • T-MAX 100 Professional Film--high-quality black-and-white slides with processing in the T-MAX 100 Direct Positive Film Developing Outfit
  • Reversal applications with shorter processing times
