Absolute go-to developer. It's a little funky to get started with, mixing the chemistry together. Just make sure you've really stirred it together so that it's clear and there's no particulates. Lasts a LONG time and Kodak also has information on replenishing it so that it can last over many many rolls of film. (Properly stored, of course) Great "no nonsense" developer, hard to really screw up. Just avoid vigorous agitation: think of it like 'swirling' the developer in the tank rather than 'shaking' like a cocktail. This helps reduce bubbles, too.

This is a stand-by B&W developer for me. I get reliable results with it for a variety of film types. I have also found that it really helps pull details from the shadows when used diluted in combination with highly diluted Rodinal in stand development. Tried and true!
