The KM-16 Parabolic Microphone, a product of Klover, is a mid-size, long-range microphone that transforms your omni-directional mic into a device capable of capturing audio from up to 300 feet away. Its unique, modular design employs specially-designed handles and a microphone yoke, ensuring the protection of the collector dish. The true parabolic shape of the collector dish focuses all sound energy on a single point, providing clear and crisp audio recording. Unlike many competitors, the Klover MiK 16 utilizes vibration isolation components to eliminate unwanted noises caused by movement between components. The Sound Devices MM-1 Microphone Preamplifier is a single-channel, portable device with a powerful headphone monitoring function. Its transformer-balanced input and output, along with a bipolar +/-15 volt power supply, ensure low-noise, low-distortion gain at all switch positions. It also features an "unclippable" dual-stage limiter and two-position high-pass filter. The KMEQ Equalized Microphone, a custom-built version of the Countryman B3, is designed specifically for our parabolic microphones. This water-resistant, miniature, omni-directional lavalier condenser microphone with XLR connector provides a deeper, more natural sound from our parabolic microphones. The Koss Pro4AA headphones, a staple in the radio and recording industries, deliver true full frequency and high fidelity performance with impressive noise isolating capabilities. These full-size professional headphones keep unwanted sounds out while letting every note in, providing an immersive audio experience. The kit is completed with the KK-16-TE Carrying Case, a waterproof shipping/road case designed for the un-assembled KM-16 parabolic microphone, with compartments for all parts as well as a preamp.
