Under the umbrella of professional audio recording equipment, the Klover MiK 16 Kit stands out as a comprehensive solution. This kit includes the KM-16 Parabolic Microphone, KMEQ Lavalier Microphone, Sound Devices MM-1 Amplifier, Remote Audio HN7506 Headphone, and a KKB-16 Carrying Bag.
The KM-16 Parabolic Microphone, a mid-size model, transforms your omni-directional microphone into a long-range audio capturing device. It's capable of picking up conversations from up to 300 feet away, thanks to its true parabolic shape collector dish. This unique design focuses all sound energy on a single point, ensuring clear and crisp audio recording. Unlike other models, the Klover MiK 16 uses vibration isolation components to eliminate any unwanted noise caused by movement between components.
The Sound Devices MM-1 Microphone Preamplifier is a single-channel, portable device with a powerful headphone monitoring function. Its transformer-balanced input and output, along with a bipolar +/-15 volt power supply, ensure low-noise, low-distortion gain at all switch positions. It also features an "unclippable" dual-stage limiter and two-position high-pass filter, providing flexibility in microphone powering.
The KMEQ Equalized Microphone, a custom-built version of the Countryman B3, is designed specifically for our parabolic microphones. It's a water-resistant, miniature, omni-directional lavalier condenser microphone with an XLR connector. The electronic circuit inside the XLR connector equalizes the output of the microphone to match the acoustic characteristics of the Klover MiK 09 and MiK 16 parabolic collectors, resulting in a more natural sound.
The Remote Audio HN7506 Headphones provide excellent sound isolation, reducing outside ambience by up to 45dB. They are designed to mimic the industry standard Sony MDR-7506, allowing seamless switching between the two. These headphones are perfect for sound mixers working in high noise environments, providing protection from hearing damage while maintaining reliable monitoring standards.
The kit also includes a durable KKB-16 Carrying Bag, made of nylon with soft foam padding. It's designed to carry an un-assembled KM-16 parabolic microphone, with two pockets for storing components.
Whether you're recording for military/security purposes, broadcasting, panel discussions, open meetings, houses of worship, or nature study, the Klover MiK 16 Kit offers a high-quality, professional, and convenient solution.
