The Mik 16 Kit is a comprehensive audio recording solution, featuring the KM-16 Parabolic Microphone, KMEQ Lavalier Microphone, Sound Devices MM-1 Amplifier, Remote Audio HN7506 Headphone, and a robust KK-16-TE Carrying Case.

The KM-16 Parabolic Microphone, a mid-sized offering from Klover, transforms your omni-directional microphone into a long-range audio capturing device. With the ability to pick up conversations from as far as 300 feet, this microphone is designed with a unique, modular structure that includes specially-designed handles and a microphone yoke. This design not only protects the collector dish but also allows for individual component replacement if damage occurs.

The KM-16 stands out for its ability to generate clear and crisp audio, thanks to its true parabolic shape that focuses all sound energy on a single point. Unlike competitors, the KM-16 eliminates unwanted noises caused by component movement, ensuring only the desired sound is captured.

The Sound Devices MM-1 Microphone Preamplifier is a portable, single-channel device with a powerful headphone monitoring function. Known for its low-noise, low-distortion gain, it features an "unclippable" dual-stage limiter and two-position high-pass filter. It can be powered by two-AA batteries or an external 5-18 VDC.

The KMEQ Equalized Microphone, a custom-built version of the Countryman B3, is designed specifically for parabolic microphones. It's a water-resistant, miniature, omni-directional lavalier condenser microphone with an XLR connector. The microphone is equalized to match the acoustic characteristics of the Klover MiK 09 parabolic collector, providing a more natural sound.

The Remote Audio HN7506 Headphones offer professional-grade sound isolation, reducing outside ambience by up to 45dB. Designed to mimic the industry-standard Sony MDR-7506, these headphones allow seamless switching without compromising on monitoring standards and reliability.

Finally, the kit includes a waterproof KK-16-TE Carrying Case, designed to safely transport the KM-16 parabolic microphone and all its components.
