The included Equalized Microphone, custom-built by Countryman Associates, is designed to match the acoustic characteristics of the Sound Shark, providing a deeper, more natural sound from our parabolic microphones. This water-resistant, miniature, omni-directional lavalier condenser microphone features an XLR connector with an electronic circuit that equalizes the output of the microphone. Like most XLR microphones, this mic requires "phantom power", which is optimally provided by the included preamplifier for increased dynamic range and superior overall performance.

The Beachtek DXA-MICRO PRO Preamplifier is a high-gain, low-noise portable preamplifier with 3.5mm and XLR type microphone jacks. It supplies both "plug-in-power" and "phantom power", making it compatible with nearly any microphone. This two-channel preamp comes with independent output level controls, allowing you to raise microphone signal levels to usable line level while minimizing the amplification done by your camera. This reduces ambient noise, especially in quiet environments, and allows you to monitor your audio if your camera lacks a headphone jack.

The kit also includes two Lume Cube LED lights, representing the future of LED Lighting. These compact, powerful lights emit 1,500 Lumens of daylight balanced light and are waterproof up to 100 ft. They can be controlled via on-board buttons or a Bluetooth App, and can be used as a flash or constant video light.
