It fits perfectly over the Sound Shark dish and frame, providing an additional layer of protection to your lapel microphone, ensuring clear, high-quality audio even in challenging outdoor environments.The custom omni-directional XLR lapel microphone, built by Countryman Associates, is a water-resistant, miniature condenser microphone with an XLR connector. Inside the connector is an electronic circuit that equalizes the output of the microphone to match the acoustic characteristics of the Sound Shark, providing a deeper, more natural sound from our parabolic microphones. This microphone requires Phantom power (9 V to 48 V) to operate.The Beachtek DXA-MICRO PRO preamplifier is a two-channel active adapter with powerful low-noise preamplifiers, level controls, headphone monitoring, phantom power, and plug-in power. It features one balanced XLR input, two mono, and one stereo mini-jack inputs. This compact unit can be mounted under or over the camera, and it works to raise microphone signal levels to usable line level while minimizing the amplification done by your camera.
