I need a tall microphone stand for recording an orchestra. Previously I had used a Shure one that kept collapsing (and pinched my hand!), and Shure cannot repair it.
This one is truly rugged and much sturdier than the Shure. But it is a lot heavier too.
You will need a metric wrench to tighten the top part into the base, and there is no handy carrying case.
