Review Summary

I am a sound professional working every weekend, and my mic stands get used a lot. They also are broken down after every gig, so all of the moving parts on my stands get exercised regularly. I've been through many, many stands, and the majority of them only last 6-months or so. This K&M stands are a different story. They don't break, the fittings stay tight, and they work just like they are supposed to. Don't waste your money on cheap stands, these are the real deal.

Each moving part is smooth and tightens very well. Not light, but not too heavy either. This is a very well made, reliable and solid piece of gear. How I use it most of the time: I have a Rode NTG-2 in a shock mount attached to the end of the boom arm.

The industry standard for a mic stand and boom arm combination. Package consists of the 201A/2 microphone stand and the 211 boom arm. Folding base for ease of transport. Long legs for added stability. The 210/2 - a classic for 30 years.
