Review Summary

I use the projector for reviewing our extensive family slide collection (5000+). Are in the process to digitize/archive them. We have standard and CS (straight) slide racks. The Kindermann is the only slide projector (non-Kodak) I could find. Technology seems solid but a bit dated. My 1995 Reflecta projector (back in Germany, 220V) run quieter and smoother. But beggars are no choosers. If you need one, this one works.

viewing slides of European motor cycle events that were were made for commercial use in the early 70's. Love the auto focus feature Works great but construction looks a little fragile. Time will tell.

There is only a 150 watt halogen lamp, not a 250 watt as described in specifications. This is not a multi voltage projector.

Magic projectors with the powerful 150W halogen lamps are designed for the ambitious amateur as well as for school and seminars. The 4-channel IR remote control has clearly indentifiable command buttons: two buttons for forward or backward transport, two other buttons for overriding the selective autofocus, and a another button for activating the integrated laser pointer.
The quick slide change - approx 1.1 sec.- nearly shuts out the dark intervals between the single pictures. If there is no slide in the magazine, the slide-controlled diaphragm protects the audience against the dazzling projection light.
The auto focus automatically adjusts the sharpness of the picture. If needed you can override the mechanism on a manual switch on the remote control. All corrections are made so efficiently that they are nearly invisible to the eye
