Turned a couple of "old" Nikon lenses into functional telescopes. Good for a spotting scope, and sky scope. Picked up Jupiter and all 4 moons.

Works great on old sp200/500 Tamron lens Nikon adapter. Can see 30 cal holes at 100+ yards.

Worked well and I really liked it. At first it did not go on some of my lense but when I took of the tripod stand attachment it worked on all my sense.

Are you sick of cheap monoculars with low eye relief and narrow fields? Do you happen to have some old SLR lenses handy? Then this converter can be used to construct an exceptionally clear, high contrast monocular from a lens plus the adapter. Unlike previous adapters, this adapter has a reasonable eye relief. I am currently using it with a 135mm Nikon lens for a total magnification of 13.5x = 135mm / 10mm. Works great.

Works exactly as advertised. Be sure to think about how you're going to use it and decide between the angled and straight eyepiece. Angled is great for tripod mount and celestial viewing, but tough to use handheld.

I have a number of manual lens held over from the good old days of my Nikon F3 and F5s. It breathes new life into dusty lens on my equipment shelf. This little attachment turns them into excellent spotting scopes for bird watching or range results. The best was my Nikon manual 800mm lens, that was completely rendered useless with the digital cameras for lack of a focusing ring. This little attachment turned it into a marvelous Telescope for star gazing. With its 4 x magnification, the entire moon files the lens with such clarity. It is astounding. I highly recommend it, for its price, ease of use, clarity and adaptability.

I bought this to use with an older Nikon 80-400 lens that I have replaced. This is a great combination for watching birds from a bay window. The lens range is very good for this, a decent tripod is necessary. My only reason for removing 1 star is that the rubber eyepiece cup is glued on, and not removable. Mine is not very adequately glued either. Not a showstopper, and it does not really affect use.

I have to comment on the most pleasing description of our moon that I have ever read - utterly delightful.

I wasn't sure how well this would work but was very pleasantly surprise when I connected it to a Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 lens. In daylight the image quality is really quite good. The moon looks spectacular as well. It's light, compact and comes with a soft bag.

Kenko Lens2Scope Adapter for Nikon Mount Lenses
By Daniel H.
Turned a couple of "old" Nikon lenses into functional telescopes. Good for a spotting scope, and sky scope. Picked up Jupiter and all 4 moons.
The new KENKO LENS2SCOPE adapter is an accessory that can change any lens into a spotting scope. The LENS2SCOPE adapter's light-weight composite body houses a high quality roof prism, optics and an eyepiece just like a traditional spotting scope. When the lens is attached it becomes a spotting scope to use for viewing. The lens mount and housing for the optics are made from metal while some external barrels are polycarbonate.
The optics in the LENS2SCOPE magnify the image by a factor of 10x so that a 100mm lens would have the same magnification as a 1,000mm lens when viewing. Focus is easily achieved by using the lens' manual focus ring.
There are two versions of the LENS2SCOPE, a straight eyepiece (pictured) and a version where the eyepiece is angled up. They are both available in Canon EOS, Nikon, Pentax and Sony.
The LENS2SCOPE has a removable tripod adapter for mounting onto a tripod for more comfortable viewing for extended periods of time. The tripod mount can support up to 800g. If you want to use a lens heavier than 800g, please use a tripod mount on the lens.
This small accessory comes with its own carrying case and takes up about as much room in a camera bag as a normal lens.
