Works very well. Good eye relief. Very clear and bright. Marginal build quality. I would not trust the tripod mount. I use it but only with a small lens. I would have paid more for better built unit.

Optically good, but....

This is an interesting item that turns any camera telephoto lens into a spotting scope. While the ideal has been intriguing to me for a long time since I have a spotting scope and many long telephotos. I acquired this item to test its performance....namely a Zeiss 30x60mm spotting scope versus some nice Pentax SMC Takumar 300mm and 500mm prime telephotos. While the Zeiss spotting scope has always been an outstandng performer, I was surprise  to see that the optics provided with the Kenko adapter maybe compromised when converting a high end telephoto into a spotting telescope. The image quality was soft and difficult to focus properly through this optic (I realize the focusing is done with the telephoto) and may represent the weakest link in the optical train. I am very disappointed that I cannot effectively turn some excellent telephoto lenses into excellent telescopes.Also the plastic attachment for tripod attachment is plastic and is totally useless in that it flexes and is effectively worthless when using any telephoto with any weight.. Don't even bother with attaching to a tripod via this mounting mechanism.
