Shopper : Can this lens work on a Nikon D7100 lens?ANDREW R : This lens should work on most Nikon F mount (AF, AF-D, AF-S, Ai, Ai/p, Ai/s) camera bodies, however operation will be in full manual mode. I don't believe that automatic exposure metering will be functional on most DSLR bodies.
Shopper : Will this lens work with a Nikon D800 camera?BRIAN H : The lens will work fine on a D800. It is made for full frame sensor use. Do some searching for reviews of the lens before you buy to find out about image quality, which is not quite as good as standard lenses (non-reflex type). On the other hand, a reflex (mirror) lens is less expensive than a standard lens, especially for long focal lengths. Good luck!

Thanks!EHSANUL H : This lens will work on a D3100 without any adapter.ANDREW R : This lens includes the correct t-mount for mounting to Nikon camera bodies. This lens should work with your D3100, however you should be aware that all functions (exposure, focus, etc.) will need to be adjusted manually when using this lens.

OK As Long As The Light Is Good...
Let us be honest. Every photographer's decision when buying anything glass is to buy the best you can afford. However, now and again a silly offer comes your way and you feel compelled to take it. It did with this Kenko 400mm Mirror lens. There is an absolute drought on long focal length glass for Sony E-mount unless you have well over a grand to spend. Kenko (Tokina) along with others give some of us a cheaper option. This definitely does not have the image quality of a standard lens, prime or zoom. It is very well made and can be converted for any mount. The focus ring is big and comfortable to use but you will need to practice to ensure pin sharp focus with your fixed f8 aperture. In this respect is can be unforgiving. Thankfully, Sony's 'focus peaking' setting helps a lot with this. Advantages are the compact size, good build quality, glass is good. It is nice to have the equivalent of 600mm. Practice is required but good results can be had.
