Purchased this filter to shoot the eclipse. It worked great. The sun shows up white vs the yellow/orange color some filters offer. However, I was late preparing so purchased this one. Plan to use again on the next eclipse.

It was impossible to get a 77 mm solar eclipse filter by the time of the eclipse. I ordered the four by four filter and I hot glued it onto a broken flexible 77mm hoodie. I was able to photograph the solar eclipse with no problem. I used a Canon 100-400 mm lens with the 7D Mark 2. This worked AWESOME! I got great photos of the eclipse and even got a fabulous picture of the "diamond ring". I put it in a Cokin Zpro holder and got some white gloves for whipping the filter in and out during totality, super easy instead of screwing on a filter. Highly recommend!

The filter worked great for me. It let me take images of the ecclipse, and I could look through it as well. It was awkward holding the filter against the lens with onw hand while holding the camera at near-vertical steady enough to shoot, but it worked.

The filter worked perfectly for the solar eclipse in Oregon. The filter was bought just for this purpose but it still can be used as a 16X ND filter. The box it came in was all in Japanese. Thanks to Google translate, I was able to read it and the Adorama website was also helpful.
