This high-quality filter effectively blocks infrared light and certain UV rays, enabling a full spectrum converted camera to capture images as they appear to the naked eye. Designed specifically for use with full spectrum or two spectrum converted cameras, this filter boasts a similar transmission to the hotmirror filters typically found in cameras. Its unique design ensures that all regular white balance presets remain functional, providing you with the flexibility to capture stunning images in a variety of lighting conditions.Our hot-mirror filters are shipped with an anti-reflective, corrosion-resistant coating, enhancing the filter's durability and reducing the likelihood of artifacts, especially in humid regions. Please note, this coating is applicable to filters up to 82mm in size.Unlike other hotmirror filters that are clear, our filter is blue, mirroring the shade of original lowpass filters found in cameras. This coloration is a visual confirmation that the filter is blocking the same wavelengths, ensuring optimal color rendition when paired with a two spectrum converted camera.Our filter stands out from the crowd with its absorption-based light blocking, as opposed to interference-based blocking like the B+W 486 filter. This means that the color remains consistent, regardless of the angle of incidence, eliminating color changes on wide angles around the edges.Designed with aggressive IR blockage, our filter eliminates IR leak on all camera models.
