Shopper : How many rolls of film in this box? 20?RONALD S : Kodak Tri-X is the go to film to cover most photo situations with a minimum of grain.on producing excellent enlargement even up to 11x14. Used it for 40+ years and buying in bulk you save almost 50% not to mention you can load film as needed-say you only need 12 shots or want to go over the standard 24 or 36. So the answer is -it is up to you how many rolls you can make in 100 foot box. [3 feet=36 exposures]MELISSA H : One large roll that you make smaller rolls from. The number of rolls you can make depends on how long you make them.OLEKSANDR N : This is a single bulk roll. You will need a bulk film loader and reloadable cartridges to make your own rolls.ROBERT S : It has been a while. If I recall correctly, I was able make between 15 & 20 rolls at 36+ exposures.BERNIE D : I am not sure how many rolls are in a 100' box. the film is bulk and you have to load each roll into a cassette. So it is also a question of what size rolls you are loading, 10 shot rolls, 20-24 shot rolls or 36 exposure rolls. I would guess it is about 3 feet per 36 exposure roll so you get quite a few rolls with 100 feet of film. Hope this helps. oh, don't load much past 36 exposures per roll. that can cause jamming problems.SEAN V : you should get at least 20 rolls of 36 exposures out of 100 feetMOHSEN Z : Yes, 20 of 36 exposures.John Jeffrey D : Really? The box says 1 @ 100 feet (12 inches per foot). You roll the bulk film into cartridges. You choose how long in each cart. (20) yes. (30) okay-maybe. You can also google "using bulk 35mm film" for more details and information.MIKE P : 18 rolls of 36 exposureWIM H : I get about 19 or 20 rolls from a bulk roll; I use somewhat shorter rolls to make 35 or fewer exposures so a roll will fit on a 7x5 PrintFile page.KATRINA R : Roughly 20, yes. Depending on how many shots you place in a roll through your bulk loader. And factoring a leader for each roll. I got 18.ROBERT H : 36 exposure rolls are about 6 feet long. You can get about 16 rolls of 36 exposure from 100 feet.Donald S : 20 is about right for 36 exposures. Some people roll 30-32 to prevent the end of the strip from hanging out of the processing reel. That'll yield a few more rolls.MICHAL I : It's one continuous roll, 100' -> ~30 meters. You have to cut it yourself.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?JEFFREY L. H : It's the best!CHRIS W : It’s the best all-around black and white film known to man!ALEX M : To be perfectly honest, I chose this because Ilford HP5+ was on backorder lolPAULA W : a conventional 35 mm 400 filmDAVID P : Bulk load and save moneyXUANCHEN L : I want to shoot at night, I need a high-speed film.DAVE V : Although most of my photography is digital, I am also 'returning to my roots' developing a familiar and reliable film. Tri-X has much exposure latitude, and a characteristic 'look' that I like very much.

A true classic

This is a good moderate speed black and white film. It was the standard until train films came out. So why is tri-x still available decades after tmax and delta and similar t grain films came on the market? There's just something about tri-x.

Kodak TRI-X, the name speaks for itself.

TRI-X, what more is there to say? The gold standard of B&W films. It's like the F150 farm truck of film - it pretty much does everything pretty damn well and you know what you're going to get. This is my "desert island" film. I could shoot this film for the rest of my life and be pleased with my lot.

Bulk Tri-X

A great way to shoot Tri-X if you want to choose the length of the roll of film you use. Done right, you can avoid wasting film. Unfortunately bulk Tri-X is more than double the price of its competition so you won't save money.

Rolls of 36 exposure per 100 ft between 18-20.

Great film but single rolls seem to be better deal these days. I usually buy 4 at a time and they last about 4 years for my work. Last purchase the price was about $75 foe 100 ft. I suspect there will be a price increase for the single rolls around the corner.

More Tri-X than you can shake a stick at

Great for people who shoot a lot of B&W either for assignments, or personal work. You'll need a bulk film loader and reusable cassettes of course.
