Tri-x has been my favorite film for many years. It's a breeze scanning or printing in my darkroom. So glad that it's back in my price range again. I also like how Adorama sweetened up the deal and basically threw in a a free Pro Optic Cleaning Kit. Plus, the film they sent in the 10-pack is super fresh.

I always always get great results with this film. Like dad said you only get what you pay for so you want the best "BUY" the best. Being new to film I need all the help I can get but i am getting there. Oh yea learning developing too. Pretty easy to do. I would recommend this film to anyone who "WANTS" quality.

It's 400TX. Its reputation precedes it. Sharp film despite the graininess, killer tones and a lot of latitude.

You know film. Even mistakes can be art. Depending how you expose and process it, Tri-X can have a nice crusty quality to the deep blacks with creamy midtones with a bright upper register, especially in 35m and medium format. With a little more agitation during the processing, you can really up the contrast and grain into a soft graduated almost pencil sketch type of image.

TRI-X pan film has been around a long time. I've been using it for over 50 years. I've also used a wide assortment of film emulsions. It's been my go to film for B&W since 1971. Its fundamentally the same product! Consistently good.

Am trying BW again after many years away. Haven't shot BW since the 1970's !!! Even dug out my old film developing tank. Always liked TriX for its versatility. Using my Canon F-1 that I purchased 1974 and recently had CLA'd, works perfectly.
