All Around Good Film

This film provides a rather deep saturation and provides that Kodak Gold look. The film is pretty forgiving when it comes to over or under exposures. The grain and emulsion provides a good picture that is not distorted when enlarged or digitized.

Junk Film

POS. Around 1/2 way through roll there was a tear in the film. It would index properly to take photos. However, after shooting a full roll of 36 exposures, rewinding caught on the canister and it showed in my film counter the film had been rewound. I opened the access door only to find 1/2 a roll of film not rewound because the film was stuck. It was obvious the film was torn during manufacture, as to how you could see how the film could index during shooting.

One of the best bargains for C41 color film, color is vibrant without being too extreme or weirdly cool (Fuji Superia 400 tends to yield strange greens / blue tints in some lighting). Pictures can be a little grainy, especially compared to more professional stock like Portra400 or Fuji Pro400H, but nothing that would show up on a scan or print smaller than 8"x10" / 2000 dpi. I like Gold 200 a lot also for a more 'vintage' warm color palette, but all-around the Gold Max 400 is more versatile.
