After 3-4 years the amplifier just stop working. Do not ever buy a Klipsh product, it is crap, it does not matter how it sounds when it stop working. Buy some really cheap china stuff instead, that is more reliable.

Warranty is 2 years. Two years and 11 months later. The sub started making a heartbeat sound. The amp was shot. However, the folks at Klipsch stand behind their product. The sent be a new board at no charge and I got in 3 days. Outstanding!!

I am surprised how powerful the bass from this 12". The free port in the bottom helps, and the extra power 300w RMS makes it a step above the others.

I was a little reluctant to get this sub. My original was a 600 RMS sub of a different name brand from 20 years ago. It finally moved on to speaker heaven, so I figured I?d see if this would live up to the task. Boy what a nice surprise! Not only does it keep up with my system, it exceeds my expectations! Sounds better than my old one, less boomy and more precise! Really does make the walls shake. My wife now complains every time we watch TV! What a great sub! Get it, and your neighbors will know!

I have been updating all my speakers for my Home Theater and the SPL-120 was the last upgrade. My Denon ARV has the capacity for two subs, so I got two SPL-120s. After setting up and tweaking the crossovers for my setup. I played some of my favorite movies. I am absolutely blown away on the bottom end of the sound I was receiving even at low volumes. The bomb burst, the low end music tracks, etc. I am so happy I got these beauties.

I have gone through two Amps now. The quality is very poor. I was very pleased that I was sent a new Amp after the first failure. After a month of light use... another failure. Very disappointing, as the rest of my setup is Klipsch and works flawlessly. I would not recommend purchasing the sub, look at other brands to pair with your setup.

Great performance and sound. It will be better if the previous one had lasted more than 3 years. The amp went out. Fingers crossed on this one.

I just received my SPL-120 and all I can say is wow! Thunderous base and crisp thumps. It pairs VERY well with the RP-8000F IIs and the RP-504C. My wife was so impressed that she had me order a second one for the other side of the room.

Fantastic Sub. My last Klipsch Sub lasted 20 years! I thought it was great, but this one is crazy good! Very very smooth accurate bass. It's Ported to the front - so when something explodes on TV, you get a woosh of air from the port (my sub is located front and center aimed directly at me). Kinda weird, but kinda cool.

I purchased 2 of these subs from Best Buy Christmas of 2021. So far, these subs hold up well and initially, sound decent. After the novelty wore off, these subs are very boomy with decent low bass output and leaves me with looking for more. Of you are serious about your home theater setup, I recommend either Monolith, REL or SVS as these subwoofer variants performance are earth shattering! The AVR I am using is the Denon x6700.

Great sounding powered and powerful subwoofer. Just not quite my 10" 450 watt down-fire I used to have.

I recommend the SPL-120 if you?re looking to match other Reference Premier speakers. I have the RP500C, RP600M?s for my main front speakers, and RP500Ms for my rear surround and the SPL-120. Very stunning to the eyes for a 5.1 entry level. However, if you?re a fan of bass and looking for subsonic LFE then you?ll need look elsewhere. The SPL-120?s bass is good but it needs to be deeper and more refined. It?s a bit underwhelming. Majority of the time the fit and finish of Klipsch speakers is high quality, but my SPL-120 has visible dried glue on one of the port seams that was not wiped off or sanded down during manufacturing.

The subwoofer sounds great. Room size is 30x17, using a 7.1 surround amp (Denon AVR-X1600H with sub settings as shown in attached picture. The sound is FANTASTIC!! This sub has/adds the depth from breaking glass to dinosaurs walking. This is a nice investment/addition. Waiting on a sale to buy other speakers.

I recently upgraded to the SPL-120 and was a little tentative that it was not going to provide enough bass for my home theater. Turns out there was nothing to worry about. I?ve tried it with movies and a variety of music and it provides tight, accurate bass that fills the room (and shakes the walls and the floors when needed. Love it!

Wow is all I can say. This is such a step up from the R120SW. It creates such clear, deep and room rumbling deep ends and bass. Best part of the upgrade to RP series in my opinion! I have been using Klipsch for 3 years now and decided to upgrade from the reference series to the full Reference premiere series. These speakers and absolutely fantastic. The build quality and sound detail is out of this world. Absolutely fell in love with Klipsch. Worthy upgrade and such a step up. Would definitely recommend it. I can?t say in words what a difference this sub adds to the system.

I am pairing a SPL120 with a set of vintage Forte IIs. The 120 has deep, tightly regulated response and plays at truly stellar volumes without and distortion or chuffing. I haven't been able to trip it up yet. At low volumes the bass is textured and musical as well. I has a bulletproof feel that my old sub didn't. Good job Klipsch.

Has a lot of punch, bought it in conjunction with the fives. Had both the Fives and the Spl-120 outside on the 4th while cooking on the grill. Felt like i was at a concert hall. Listening distance was about 15ft or so away.

I bought this SPL-120 subwoofer through a dealer couple years and now it stopped working. I am seeing the small green power light on but there is no sound from this subwoofer. Don't know what happened and what has changed automatically with this subwoofer, it stopped working all of a sudden. I had sent two emails to Klipsch support requesting the options to fix, troubleshoot and/or repair this product. I am not sure if they really see my emails and reply back to my inquiry, if they do not contact then I have no choice to dispose this subwoofer and look for another one. I have purchased Klipsch reference premiere speakers with a package and this one costed with discounts and package offer at that time around $599 each.

Deep bass, pure sound, no distorsion regardless of volume. ... Feels like there's no limits...
The SPL-120 subwoofer is a step up from the Klipsch Reference series. Featuring a high-efficiency Class-D amplifier and spun copper Cerametallic woofer, the Klipsch SPL series subwoofers deliver best-in-class low-frequency output.
High Efficiency Class D Amplifier
The built-in, high efficiency amplifier features an analog preamp design, which maintains the original signal path for cleaner, true-to-source reproduction. The Class D output stage ensures maximum efficiency for maximum output, detail, and low frequency power.
Spun Copper Cerametallic Woofers
Cerametallic woofers are exceptionally light and extremely rigid, providing remarkable low frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion for higher, cleaner output using less amplifier power.
Woofer Anatomy
Klipsch Cerametallic cones are matted to a dual-layer, copper-wound voice coil for exceptional conductivity.
Reference Premiere woofers are housed in a non-resonating, stamped-steel basket that's secured to a large magnet motor for exceptional efficiency and low distortion, and matched to our horn-loaded tweeters for optimal acoustic execution.
Exclusive Port Technology
Klipsch SPL subwoofers leverage proprietary internal-flare geometry that minimizes port noise for clean undistorted low frequencies. The front-firing design allows for placement flexibility to reduce unwanted resonance from your walls or furniture behind the subwoofer.
Take Control
Low Pass Crossover and Variable Phase control allows you to tune the subwoofer to your Klipsch speakers and to your room, establishing the ideal level of bass. Line Level / LFE RCA inputs ensure compatibility with home theater receivers.
Both the RCA and wireless inputs can be utilized, giving you the ability to use a single subwoofer with multiple system in the same room. For example, you can use the wireless input for your home theater set up and the RCA input for your 2-channel system, without needing to switch inputs when changing between systems.
Ultra-Durable Design
Klispsch SPL subwoofers feature a scratch resistant ebony finish that looks like real wood and covers the entire cabinet. Shock-absorbing rubber feet, steel grille posts and a woven cloth grille give the SPL subwoofers a premium look and feel.
