A high performance subwoofer
I have been using this subwoofer for almost 6 years now. I primarily use this for music and occasionally for movies complementing my klipsch bookshelves and bi-polar surrounds in my 18x16ft high ceiling living room.
R-115sw is a subwoofer primarily for deep resonating bass applications in some types of music generes and mostly movies. Its performance is astounding, we have used it in every new year party, Christmas bash and also augmented with DJ speakers for indoor hall parties, it performs continuously for hours throwing out deep bass. People have complemented me for this amazing subwoofer.
I am absolutely satisfied with this purchase.

Highly overrated product
- Expensive product with bad designed enclosure.
- The amplifiers itself is build from low quality parts. Capacitors - china/ Taiwan not TDK, PANASONIC
- over the PCB board is used some semi dark resin that make further repair really bad
- the power FETS are again low quality ones and their rating is badly chosen so they overheat (check the cooler color in that area)
- it tend to burn resistors or other electronic component, which replacement is hard due the silicon poored on top
- 15" speaker with single coil driver!? Even the car dedicated ones has two on 12" ...

It broke after just a few times of use
I bought this 115SW sub as part of the Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-280FA 5.1 Home Theater System. I connected them to a Denon AVR-X4300H AV receiver, and they all worked fine together. I only used it for a few weeks, and I then turned them all off for a long time (over a year) due to not using the system. And after I turned them all back on when I tried to use them again, this 115SW sub produces cotinued popping sound, totally broken down and can't play music or movies with it. I paid $4,512 for the entire speaker system when purchased it on Amazon, and now I am left with a giant block of dead "brick", which is too heavy to be sent back to Klipsch for any repair. I am very dissapointed at the low quality of this product. What a shame for Kilpsch's top end reference system!

Superior Performance
I love Yamaha Amplifiers and their subwoofers, but the Klipsch r115sw has changed my ways! There's no going back!!!

Går sönder fort, bra ljud, dålig hållbarhet
Köpte ett stort paket inkluderande bas R-115 SW.
Under första året fick jag byta säkringen ca 5-6 gånger och då detta inte var hålbart i längden, så samlade jag kraft och orkade ta den till försäljaren som på garanti skickade den till reparation. Eftersom det tyvärr blev transportskador på min bas, så fick jag en annan spiltter ny. Nu är det den nya som krånglar efter ca 1 år. Man hör ständigt ett klickande ljud även om basen inte är kopplad till Recivern, alltså ett fel på själva basen.
Så länge den funkar, så har den ett fantastiskt ljud, men tyvärr går dem sönder ofta tidigt.
Bra ljud men dålig byggkvalite, besviken på Klipsch

Good subwoofer with defective amps
I bought two of these when they were on sale in my country. I was very happy with them because bass elements are very good and build quality is supreme ... until amps started dying. First one's died only after 4 months of usage. Second one's died last october for which i still haven't got replacement although it's under warranty. Reseller is saying they are still waiting replacement from Klipsch. Looks like Klipsch is out of parts themselves :(

Did not last as long as expected.
I bought this for around $1,000 and I was reasonably happy until a few days ago. The subwoofer will only stay powered on for 10 minutes and under extremely reduced capacity. Something tells me that the capacitors and resistors on the main board have burned out. After doing much research on the internet I am not the only one with this issue. When I buy a companies flagship product, I expect it to last or at least be backed up with a decent warranty. It appears these are not built to last. Which is totally ridiculous given that your competitors products will easily last much longer. I am completely unsatisfied, and don't think I can in good faith trust the Klipsh brand anymore.

Great sound; superb support
We bought one of these and it worked great, until the amplifier croaked. I called the support at Klipsch, and they walked me thru diagnosing that it was the amplifier that quit, and they sent out a new amplifier, which has worked ever since.
