I've had these for a little less than 2 years. Bought on sale for almost 1/2 price, literal no-brainer. They sound very very good with most types of music (I listen to acoustic folk, large orchestral pieces, and extreme black metal!). I wouldn't quite call them "Audiophile" but will satisfy 90% or more of listeners. The built in amplification can get these up to LOUD levels but the louder you go, the more listening fatigue. The built in phone preamp works but it isn't great. There is an audible hum when I connect my U-Turn Orbit Theory. Feeding the Aux in with a WiiM mini streamer works well. The bad (or not so good): as mentioned before, the speakers do get a little fatiguing at higher levels. The volume steps and subwoofer level have no display so it is difficult to tell how they are set.

I?d recommend this product and purchase Adorama. This is my second R-12SWi purchase for a large 400sqft room so the two subs easily thump the area. Love it. Thx

Great for a large room, but might completely overpower a room smaller than 15X15. The wireless works great. I notice a very small delay in some bass response, but most may not notice it. Instructions are 1 step above worthless lol. I use this exclusively in my home theater setup and it is a huge improvement over my old sub. Explosions and jet engins sound like they happened right in front of you. Overall, this sub is INCREDIBLE.

It is amazing how much this subwoofer improved the sound system. I replaced a very old Klipsch that was much smaller and had to be connected with a cable. When I first unpacked this new one I was concerned it might be too large but it turned out to be perfect in my 18' by 20' room. The wireless and pairing setup was easy and works great. I have it connected to the subwoofer jack on my Denon Audio Video Receiver for home theater as well as music. I recommend this subwoofer and would buy it again.

The cabinet looks like new! All the switches and lights are intact. I havent formally balanced the unit yet with the other speakers but this sub is a monster! Its big, and requires some room for the speaker to breathe as well as the port. It is punchy, and rumbles when needed without being boomy. It blends great with my old school Eosone speakers, built before subwoofers were a thing, and bass was handled by the woofers in the towers. It enhances these speakers without overpowering, as long as the gain is set low enough. We currently have it behind our curved L shaped couch in a 500 sq. ft. room and we can feel the bass the way it should be. I will experiment with location as the wireless function makes it easy to move without worry or wires. My only minor caveat is the speaker cover is not magnetic like my other Klipsch speaker covers.

I bought this for my son. He has not been able to use it because he can not get it synced. It should come with step by step directions on how to get it setup. Very expensive not to have setup directions. That should be included. Paper directions for setup. I?m old school, I don?t want to look up how to get something to work that should be included with the system. That should be part of customer care. I?m seriously thinking about returning!

Got my record player hooked up to these with the 12" sub. I use it to play tunes for my game area when we have company and play cards. Also use a tablet via bluetooth to stream music. They're both convenient and high quality. I love 'em.

Not sure what other reviewers are talking about with the cabinet design maybe try getting it out of the corner and let it breath like it is supposed to and you might discover that awesome neighbors hate you floor rattling bass we all love from Klipsch! Pure awesome product I plan on adding a second one because that will be crazy insane but in a good listening way. Easy to connect everything worked as it should. Klipsch just blows all the others away. I've owned Polk Audio and Bose in the past. Nothing comes close to Klipsch it just has it's own sound that is clean, sharp, and powerful.

These are installed in a high ceiling living room, and the sound fills the space. They have a warm and balanced timbre but the highs are crisp. Most surprising to me was the definition and depth; so that's what they mean by a great soundstage!

I selected these speakers to replace my Pro Media 2.0 computer speakers. The subwoofer on the Pro Media's failed as a previous Klipsch sub I had also failed. For the record, I am a big Klipsch fan, however, Klipsch subwoofers have failed to impress me. Back to these speakers - the build quality is very good. Also admirable is the functionally of speaker inputs: phono, aux.,USB, blue tooth and optical. Additionally, it came with a nice remote and user's manual. However, for my intended use as computer speakers, they sound very muddy. I was not expecting them to produce lows as it is recommended to use a subwoofer with them. What I was expecting was a much clearer sound from the mid and high frequency range that these were suppose to produce. The sound is somewhat better than the Pro Media's I was previously using, and for that reason I will continue to use them versus trying to return them.

I recently picked the R-12SWi on sale at Costco to pair with an older Energy (Klipsch) ESW-8 for my Marantz SR5015. After setting the gain to about 30% and running Audyssey MultEQ XT app this thing works great and provides a much-needed bass improvement. Again I suggest turning down the gain as it can be a bit too boomy otherwise. So far very happy.

Great little speakers. Highs are crisp and the rear port for the lows is just right fills up my bedroom perfectly and not having to put a reciever somewhere is a real plus

Picked up one of these R-12SWI subs and placed between a set of La Scala's AL5 and after a little time to adjust it sounds Sweet with a full rich sound of a concert. I was not sure the 12" sub would be able to kick it with the 15's but it fills that small void that the La Scala doesn't reach and does it with ease since we're talking 50hz - 29hz. Highly recommend to create that full sound in a Home stereo system. The Sub looks great as well.
