Best Audio And Comfort Available TO THIS DAY!

I finally bought these a few months ago after years of looking, and it was so worth the wait! For background, I am an upcoming audio engineer with a bachelor's degree in the field, so I know what to listen for. The mid-range is perfectly present, and the bass is still there while not overpowering the midrange, and the treble has so much clarity. These take a little while to break in, I think probably at least 24 full hours of use for me. Initially upper-mids and highs could be harsh, and low bass was slightly lacking, but once they break in these headphones are nearly perfectly flat so you can listen to your music as the artist and crew intended. Coming from a pair of Sony WH-CH700N's, the major improvement I noticed was the difference distortion. These headphones don't distort at all! Perfectly clear, while the Sony's were horrible distorted (I had mixed them with their app to be a flatter response by boosting the mids among other things, and unfortunately while overall better it brought out the distortion more). With these Klipsch headphones, however, you will not need an app! Just be patient while they break in, they start harsh but clean up amazingly. Not only have I never heard headphones this good (including not only Sony and Bose, but even pro audio companies like Sennheiser), but they're also the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, and they're the first headphones I can wear for hours on end with zero problems. I have heard issues about the plastic breaking with these, but I have yet to have an issue. If you treat them gently like you should with headphones of this price and quality, then you'll probably be fine. Also if you are worried about the lack of active noise cancellation, the natural cancelation of the cushions honestly does more than that cushions and ANC combined on my old Sony's, which weren't ever the top model from them and weren't perfect in that area either, but it still says A LOT about the design of these headphones. My dog's shrill barking will still cut through even with music on, but almost nothing else does and at least her barking has been reduced to the volume of the music or lower and isn't shrill with these on. These are perfect for both casual listening, and as professional reference headphones, and they pair up amazingly with my Klipsch R-15PM speakers and matching 12" subwoofer I use for all my mixes, and I could die never needing another pair of headphones so long as these are around and in perfect working order. Klipsch please, BRING THESE BACK!!

Sad customer support

They sound fine but the screw on clips that hold the headband on snapped and the ear pads are flaking. Klipsch does not sell replacement parts to repair any of them. Ater 4 emails and 6 weeks of trying to contact them, that's what they told me. Sad customer service. $300+ down the drain.

An excellent product for the price!

These headphones are a fantastic value for the pricetag that they usually command. They can be found on Amazon for a pretty decent price and honestly the most comparable headphones for a similar price that I can think of off the top of my head would be the Sennheiser hd560s and I think that really says a lot about klipsch because just to be clear...the reference over ear is the better sounding of the two. The only downside really is the build quality is just a bit subpar, the earcups and the headband feel very nicely cushioned but the plastic frame pieces just aren't very premium feeling and they creak quite a bit when flexing the headphones.

Chinese JUNK!

$280 throw away headphones made in Chyna. Klipsch has fallen a long long way in terms of quality.

The perfect headphones for the price.

Perfectly Balanced, Legendary Klipsch sound! I picked these up on sale and it has been one of my best audio purchases ever. I also have the On Ear ii, and although the sound signatures are slightly different, I like them both, with the upper hand on perfect balance going to the Over Ears with its amazing 40mm KBD Drivers. The Bluetooth sound is also good, but I use these with a Sound BlasterX G6 on Direct Mode 32bit 384 Khz - they sound so detailed and balanced. I have seen a few reviews claiming that the build quality is shoddy, but I think it might be in certain climates that the plastic cover cracks - I am using it in 90+% humidity in Sri Lanka, and have no issues at all so far. Once you go Klipsch, you can't go back. Can't wait to upgrade to the Klipsch Heritage HP-3 next *-*

Patented Klipsch Libra Balanced Drivers
Reference Over-Ear headphones use patented Klipsch Balanced Dynamic (KBD) driver technology which puts you closer to the music by equalizing the weight of the driver's diaphragm. KBD driver technology significantly improves sound by reducing the driver's intermodulation distortion (IMD) by removing lead wires from the diaphragm.

Distortion reduces clarity and changes the original sound to make it unnatural. The difference is noticeable as bass becomes fluid and connected to the midrange and high frequencies without becoming bloated or disconnected. The improved dynamics create a soundstage and presence only heard in Klipsch's legendary speakers.

No Compromise Wireless Sound
Thanks to high definition aptX and AAC streaming, not an ounce of fidelity is lost in the wireless transmission of audio. Designed to sound completely neutral, Reference Over-Ear creates audiophile sound without audiophile price. The enhanced precision of Klipsch's KBD driver adds clarity and articulation to any song. The balanced driver moves like a piston, lowering distortion and improving resolution.

Comfort
Reference Over-Ear's removable memory foam ear cushions are soft and deep. With an extra large ear opening, the cushions are one-size-fits-all. The earcup provides articulation in every direction, ensuring that pressure is applied evenly across the entire head. With just the right amount of headband pressure, your ears stay comfortable for hours.

Perfect for on-the-go situations, Reference Over-Ear headphones fold up and includes a hard zip carrying case. A durable, tangle-resistant pass-through cable let's you keep the music going if the battery runs out.
