Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-160M Bookshelf Speaker, Pair, Walnut

I bought this item two years ago and I was astonished about the sound. Crispy clear sound with good highs, mids and bass. In the beginning the tweeter was a little overwhelming but after a few days playing the sound regulated and I enjoy the sound since then. Top speakers for a reasonable price!

Wow - I've owned a lot of bookshelf speakers down through the years - these are amazing - bought them on sale when they were discontinued and use them in dual purposes - Critical and recreational listening through a small system to which I also have them hooked up as computer monitors - For my money they are the best bookshelf I have ever owned!!! I listen to them sitting at my computer from 5 feet in most of the time - receiver power is rated at 100 watts per channel - they supposedly will handle 400w - I can't imagine how they would sound with that much power in reserve - they are beautiful and I love the magnetic speaker covers - so easy to take off and put on!!! IMO - Sound is very transparent and uncolored - transients are crisp and fast - I listen to a lot of Classical stuff and have thought about using a sub with them but at moderate volumes and higher the bass is fine for my aging ears (73).... On the rock, jazz and pop stuff they have plenty of pop for me.... the highs are very nice on that stuff - I will be up outfitting a theater system later this year but I may use a pair of these as my front speakers - When they were updates by Klipsch (with a new number) I bought these as they were very highly rated - I hate to admit it but I pd less than $200 for these on closeout - IMO- that was a Great Great deal!!

You wouldn't believe it I bought these from a back of a car still in boxes Guy's wife said it didn't fit her decor A wise choice on my part for $150 (USD) .Came with original store receipt and a letter of sale In all these RP - 160 M are very good handles my 300 w Onkyo with ease if you need a good well constructed speaker this is it .

Man these are big. But they sound so good! I was expecting about 2/3 the size, but after getting them plugged in I have no regrets!
