A blockbuster center channel!
I bought this Klipsch Reference Premier RP-440C in Cherry to match a set of Cherry Klipsch RB-5 MK II's that a friend blessed me with that had never been opened. To be honest, I guessed based on specs (mostly the efficiency) that this would pair well. I have to say WOW! My RB-5's are legendary on their own for music but struggled with movies/TV. This center is a perfect match. It doesn't overpower my RB's and it fills the soundstage with crystal clear dialog. For a cabinet housing quad 4" drivers and a horn it is huge. For the sound it puts out, the snappy, punchy bass it kicks and that beautiful horn that radiates larger and larger the more you turn up the volume, the size is worth it! I tried a RP-504C but it was a terrible pairing. The 504 is just too power hungry and threw the balance of completely. My setup is an older Pioneer 7x100W receiver, RB-5 MK II's, a Klipsch KSW 10 for the lows and this RP-440C which is perfect in this setup.

Great piece of sound equipment.

Good Center Channel
Center channel has to be big like this. I can hear all dialogues loud and clear now.
I might have liked dark brown or cherry speaker color but it's ok, i can live with it.

Clearer and louder dialogue at lower volumes.
Improved the clarity and volume of the dialogue. We're no longer having to turn our volume up as high to make out conversations. I would purchase this again. I do wish the Klipsch logo was on the bottom of the grill to match the location of the logon on the bookshelf speakers.

Perfect center to match 280FA
This center channel is great. I was running a traditional 2.1 system with a phantom center. I just upstaged my speakers to account for Dolby atmos and needed a matching center. Vocals are clear and everything sounds great coming from it. I honestly couldn?t be happier

Great center speaker!
Superb center channel. Very clear dialogue and has sufficient depth for male voices and effects.
A strong center speaker and sub are the lynchpins of HT. This is a solid choice and measure fairly flat/neutral.

Decent speaker
New to the sound stuff but i feel like the center speaker is a bit underpowered in comparison to the front speakers. Quality is still good just couldnt feel that much of a difference, maybe its my untrained ears.

I recently bought this to continue building my home theater. I see a clear difference after adding this. The overall experience greatly improved and it is much more enjoyable. Sound quality is clear and it?s affordable too. Great buy.

The right voice for the home theater chorus.
The width of this speaker does help to bridge the gap between the two main channels. Even more impressive, though, is the way it is in harmony with the other Klipsch Reference Premier speakers. You don’t need to crank the volume up for the height speakers to be heard, and that Tractrix horn makes for a clear, sharp upper range that covers a lot of the audio in vocal tracks which a diaphragm tweeter falls short of.
It falls a little shy on bass compared to the Polk CS2 it’s replacing, but the mains and subwoofers fill those gaps, as they were always meant to, and again, this speaker is the right voice for this chorus.
If home theater is your goal, a good center can make or break the experience. The 440C is the natural choice when pairing with other speakers in the Klipsch RP line; it does have a wider footprint than most, but your theater experience will be mind blowing.

Big upgrade
I couldn't be happier with my new center speaker. Klipsch has a reputation for being bright, but to my ear it just sounds intelligible. I was having difficulty with intelligibility and understanding what people were saying on screen so a good quality center speaker is the remedy. Don't really have much to compare it to other than the old KLH I was using that was 20 years old. To me the Klipsch sounds awesome!

Impressive
I have been running a Klipsch RC42c for years and thought it was adequate. After receiving and connecting the RP-450C come to realize my previous center sounded so inadequate. What difference in vocal clarity and breathe of range. Best investment I've made in my home theater and ears in years.

Very good not great
Good clear highs loud compared to other center speakers because of their efficiency but this center is lacking low and therefore makes it not sound complete. At this deep sale price (at least half off MSRP) it is a good deal. Take measurements pay attention this is a very large center channel speaker. If I had to do it again I would buy the newer model and stay away from the 4 inch driver models for all Klipsch and got the the speakers with 5 of. 6 or 8 inch drivers!
